President Trump Authorizes Sanctions on Turkey
President Trump has issued sanctions on NATO member Turkey for their purchase of Russian military weapons. The sanctions are something the President has tried to avoid for months.
According to Joyce Karam from The National News:

These sanctions are mandated by Congress but that Trump delayed. To note:
1- Spare for now #Turkey's financial sector
2- US waited for Turkish stock market to close before announcing the sanctions
3- Sanctions can only go away if Erdogan returns S-400

It is unclear if Erdogan, who has become progressively more radical, will comply and return the weapons.
