Social Media Giant Hints at Banning Trump
Twitter has stated that President Trump could be at risk of being banned from the platform after the inauguration.
According to The Daily Wire:
Twitter confirmed that they could clamp down harder on President Donald Trump’s personal Twitter account after he leaves office.
AdvertisementTrump will lose the protections that Twitter offers to world leaders when he becomes a private citizen, exposing him to the possibility of being more strictly moderated and possibly even banned if he continues to disseminate “conspiracy theories,” according to The Independent.
According to Twitter’s “principles & approach” to world leaders, “if a Tweet from a world leader does violate the Twitter Rules but there is a clear public interest value to keeping the Tweet on the service, we may place it behind a notice that provides context about the violation and allows people to click through should they wish to see the content.”
Trump will lose that stipulation at noon on Jan. 20, a Twitter spokesperson told Forbes last Thursday on condition of anonymity, also saying the company does not have “special rules” for dealing with Trump.
Twitter has been cracking down on President Trump’s tweets since the election and this new development comes as no surprise.

I have never had a Twitter account and never will, nothing but crap. I hope President Trump just dumps them, nobody needs them anyway.
I tried to sign up for Twitter once and found that some of my personal information had already been submitted for an account. I immediately took precautions to make sure that this hadn’t led to compromising my ID or anything and fortunately it hadn’t.
My sister had never opened a Facebook account but there was a profile for her on FB.

There are hearings taking place in the Senate that will produce factual evidence of censoring conservative views, that they believe has reached across the grain of liberalism, while at the same time allowing extreme liberal views grow against conservatives. If that was done on a large enough scale that could have had an effect on the President election, social media can and should lose their 230 protections. This would allow lawsuits to be filed against these social media companies. The Senate will need massive public support to accomplish this to allow our 1st Amendment to prevail. If the Democrats flip the two seats in Georgia , it will be shutdown and conservative censorship will continue and much worse. God help us!

We should all care! Social media and mainstream media, do not have the right to violate our 1st Amendment right that is provided by our Constitution, to protect free speech! If they are violating our Constitutional rights they should be broken up and or shutdown. They are not above the law but they are acting as though they are!

The best solution to this issue is for all the users of these platforms, is to ban them and shutdown their own accounts! They will either change their behavior or watch their businesses die. We don’t need them, they need us!! Power to the people!
Your strength is in your choice to ban them! If enough people do the same they will tweet no more! Or at the very least, they will allow the free flow of all tweets regardless of political affiliation. Less threats of violence and abusive postings.

You guys are missing something here. Big tech and the media monopolies want it both ways, insisting they must act as private publishers managing their Internet content, but simultaneously be shielded as a public forum, exempt from anti-trust laws.
Because these media chat-boards on the Internet have long been infiltrated by porn, pedophiles, sex trafficking, and terrorists, our government regulates them under the National Defense Authorization Act Section 230 which currently shields these monopolies from anti-trust law suits.
Trump rightfully refuses to sign the NDAA appropriations bill until Congress removes the renewal of Section 230. Monopolies are a national security threat, no matter who regulates them. Remember when Ma Bell was broken up into Baby Bells? Crooks, communists and perverts are still on the chat-boards while decent advocates of free men and free markets are censored. We need President Trump for 4 more years to finish the job.

We are on the verge of an explosion of unbiased free speech platforms, many because of the inappropriate use of unsubstantiated censorship directed toward select conservatives. Such free speech platforms must fully censor real hateful speech that contains threats of violence toward any individuals and or groups. They must adhere to the decency communications act to allow our 1st Amendment to flourish under the protection of our Constitution. Violators must be punished by silencing their voices of which they have used to inflict harm against the rights of others, by inflamming forms of retaliation by a notable use of violence. Simple to monitor, simple to maintain! Unlike the censorship of views that violate the 1st Amendment of select view points, that haven’t violated the rules of discourse. A very easy process to resolve if our laws are given the teeth to enforce. Under the current political climate, these companies believe they are too big and powerful to be controlled by our government. That maybe true, but they do fear retaliation from their users or clientele. They need us, we don’t need them!
I may not be an expert on World History but if I remember correctly this is how all of the great Dictatorships of the World started. First take away all of the gun for law abiding citizens, then teach their Socialist dogma in schools, and most importantly take away the Right of Free Speech, and only allowing the Regime’s propaganda to be see and heard.

Same here! Anything you do online is subject to a breach in privacy. Parler is a common sense conservative based platform that appears not to infringe on your 1st Amendment rights. Although, I reserve the right to be suspicious of them, I’ll will weigh my actions based on theirs! One thing is certain for me, I’ll never take part in Facebook or Twitter!
If Trump is wrongfully driven out-of-office by Voter Fraud, he will start his own Media company which will likely expand into many areas for U.S. – then run again in 2024 – if the Democrats have not handed America to the Chi-Coms.
Mike, I firmly agree! Make note, more than 73,000,000 supporters are just as concerned and also believe this wasn’t a fair and honest election. Many Democrats believe that as well, some stating something doesn’t seem to add up. I have personally heard this from Democrat family members and friends. When the truth be told, tyrannical forces have been covertly operating to overthrow our Constitutional Republic. My hope is that you are correct and we acknowledge our challenges and act on them. We must face them with truth and real justice to restore our living document to its rightful order. Foriegn interference must be seriously monitored and forcefully denied! Groups that form to create chaos and violence for any cause that doesn’t align with our laws and Constitutional creed, must be quickly be eliminated with due process of law.
