Liz Cheney Will Carry On Her Anti-Trump Crusade With New Group

After a crushing defeat in her Wyoming primary, Representative Liz Cheney says she will continue to focus on stopping former President Donald Trump from holding office again, whether that is the position of president or any other government office.

According to the Wall Street Journal:

The three-term incumbent and daughter of a former Republican vice president lost Tuesday to Harriet Hageman, a water and natural resources attorney who was endorsed by Mr. Trump. Ms. Hageman campaigned on a message that Ms. Cheney had become too critical of Mr. Trump and was ignoring the interests of her Wyoming constituents.

“I believe that Donald Trump continues to pose a very grave threat and risk to our republic,” Ms. Cheney said Wednesday on NBC’s Today Show. “Defeating him is going to require a broad and united front of Republicans, Democrats and independents, and that’s what I intend to be a part of.”

Hours after her loss, Ms. Cheney filed with the Federal Election Commission to transfer remaining cash from her federal campaign account to a new political-action committee. At the end of July, she had more than $7 million cash on hand, according to FEC filings. Her new leadership PAC is called “The Great Task,” a reference to Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, in which he said the task was to save the union and the tradition of representative democracy in the U.S.

The FEC filing was partly procedural because Ms. Cheney is no longer an active candidate and needed a new entity to accept donations.

In the coming weeks, she is expected to start a political organization to continue her work, said a person familiar with her plans. She is expected to manage it independently and not join with any outside groups also working to block a successful presidential bid by Mr. Trump.

I believe “plans for the future”, if referred to political plans, would constitute a joke.

It is very sad to see the level of hate she has for Trump. She lost because of her decisions and not because of anything Trump did but it is just like elites like her to blame their failurs on someone else. pathetic

It is sad! She lost her mind at some point and allowed her heart to fill with hate like I have rarely seen. I was certainly happy to help vote her out of our lone US House seat, and replace her with a Wyoming native.

As the old saying goes, “you made your bed, and now you have to lier in it. Le4t’s see if the Democrats will toss you a bone? Or maybe they won’t even remember her. After all, she failed at her mission to rid the USA of President Trump. Maybe her Daddy will give her a shoulder to cry on?

Sorry Liz, you got your seat because of your POS father and the nuts don’t fall far from the tree…you are a POS as well! Good Riddance you are the epitome of a RINO and have never accomplished anything noteworthy for the constituents in Wyoming…We The People have spoken!

Those who are abject failures will forever seek a scapegoat. Lizard Chainlink, by the power invested in me, I hereby nominate thee for dogcatcher and snake-wrangler in far-off Kyrgyzstan.

Liz Cheney is delusional. I doubt she could be elected as a dog catcher.
