In an effort to acquire Trump’s tax returns, the Democrat House Ways and Means Committee has issued Congressional subpoenas to Secretary Steven Mnuchin and his IRS commissioner. The press release reads as follows:
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Ways & Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) released the following statement after issuing subpoenas to Department of Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Commissioner Charles Rettig for six years of the President’s personal and business tax returns:
“Last month, the Ways and Means Committee began an investigation into the mandatory audit program at the IRS in an effort to assess the extent to which the IRS audits and enforces the federal tax laws against a sitting President and to determine if those audits need to be codified into federal law. As part of that inquiry, on April 3, I requested six years of the President’s personal and business tax returns, pursuant to my authority under section 6103(f) of the IRS Code. I believed then, as I do now, that reviewing the requested documents is a necessary piece of the committee’s work.

Despite the agency’s denial, we on the Ways and Means Committee are still moving forward with our inquiry. After reviewing the options available to me, and upon the advice of counsel, I issued subpoenas today to the Secretary of the Treasury and the Commissioner of the IRS for six years of personal and business returns. While I do not take this step lightly, I believe this action gives us the best opportunity to succeed and obtain the requested material. I sincerely hope that the Treasury Department will furnish the requested material in the next week so the committee can quickly begin its work.”
The legality of subpoenaing records from a President from before his Presidency will spark a battle between the Trump administration and Congressional Democrats. But the real question is this: will the American people care about Trump’s tax returns? Will they provide relevant information that will enable his impeachment?

The information contained in the President’s tax returns when he was a private citizen is none of my business, nor is it any of the business of anybody in Congress. Besides that, I don’t care what those tax returns might or might not show, in the years before Trump was President. He was a PRIVATE CITIZEN. I do not think it is legal to get people’s tax returns unless the IRS is auditing your tax return. They are the only ones I know of that can legally view your tax returns.

It is amazing that some think that a President’s tax returns are no business but the President’s. The fact being how any Person, Presidents especially get their money and what conditions are put on it. Now it is proven fact that Trump got a $200 Million unsecured loan from the Russians and most of his business money came from a Bank which is under investigation for money laundering for the Russians, Deutsche Bank provide Trump with his loans after American banks decided that Trump was not trust worthy to make loans to.
Then there is the thing about the Emolument Clause, where Trump’s business makes a huge amount of money from Foreign Government persons who cater to his Florida and Washington DC businesses, now just because Trump says the running of the Trump enterprise is under his Son’s control, I Do think that anyone who knows anything about Trump knows that everything
happening in his businesses is under his control.

The logical solution is that the members of the administration, who are the target of the democratic gang, will sue gang members and we will finally see what the Supreme Court will decide!
