Prosecutors Try Again to Prove Michigan Governor Kidnapping Plot

Just months after the first trial ended with an embarrassing zero convictions, federal prosecutors will try again to convince jurors that there was a plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

According to the New York Times:

Four months after one of the most closely watched domestic terrorism trials in recent history ended with zero convictions, federal prosecutors are trying again to convince Michigan jurors that there was a plot in 2020 to kidnap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, set off explosives and foment a civil war.

But to prove their case against the two defendants, Barry Croft and Adam Fox, prosecutors will have to persuade jurors to trust a sprawling F.B.I. investigation that embedded several federal operatives in the group, including an informant who was named second-in-command of a militia and an undercover agent who offered to provide explosives.

Building that trust was already hard, as jurors showed in April when they acquitted two men and failed to reach verdicts for Mr. Croft and Mr. Fox. But it may be more difficult at a time of even higher political tension, with Ms. Whitmer, a Democrat, campaigning for re-election and F.B.I. agents searching former President Donald J. Trump’s Florida home this week, a move that many Republicans have decried as a weaponization of the Justice Department.

“For the defense, this really is perfect timing for them, because their case is built around distrust of the F.B.I.,” said Matthew Schneider, who served as the top federal prosecutor in Eastern Michigan during Mr. Trump’s presidency and said he was involved in the early stages of the kidnapping plot investigation.

Well, let not us conservatives and libertarians abandon what’s left of the tattered and battered ship of the Republic. Let the liberals, progressives, socialists, and communists abandon ship so that patriots can begin work on the extensive damage repair.

Just in case you want to know how we see it from inside the “liberals, progressives, socialists, and communist” echo chamber: We see you guys as totally divorced from reality. You seem totally oblivious to facts and reason. You seem totally unconcerned with the damage your delusions are doing to the republic. You make the Democratic Party (a bunch of slime balls, if ever there was one) look like angels, look like the shining city on the hill. I sure as hell hope that you come to your senses, but am not optimistic. I will self identify as a social libertarian (you know: we own our own bodies. Is that such a difficult concept?)…and an economic agnostic (When I don’t have enough information, I don’t form a strong opinion.) Sheesh.

If America’s patriots are not involved in their local politics all hope is lost!
Contrary to popular belief, our local gov. is more powerful in our personal lives than the federal. Yet we sit idly by and let liberals place their precinct delegates in place, and MANY OF THOSE LIBERAL REPRESENTATIVES RUN WITH AN “R” BESIDE THIER NAME!!!
It is time to wake up America!!!! Get involved, run for positions in local gov.; run for positions as precinct and/or district delegates. Go to the state and possibly the national conventions and PUSH FOR THE GOOD GUYS!!!

Define liberal. I suppose liberals are folks that think they own their own body, while you think our bodies are owned by the state? Brilliant.

If so afraid, she needs to just quit running and go to live in DC, There are thousands of agents there so there will be at least 3 or 4 every block.
