If the Democrats win the two outstanding U.S. Senate races in Georgia all of their wildest dreams come true. AOC knows this and she is telling the world.
According to The Washington Free Beacon:
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) on Thursday pushed Democratic voters to turn out in Georgia to boost long-sought liberal objectives like the $15 minimum wage and universal health care.
“If we win in Georgia, we can help transition this country to a $15 minimum wage; we can make sure that we expand people’s access to health care,” she said, adding that Americans deserved a steady flow of stimulus checks as a response to the coronavirus pandemic.
For years Ocasio-Cortez has backed increasing the federal minimum wage to $15, a goal that has the support of President-elect Joe Biden but could kill as many as two million jobs. She has long criticized moderates on policy in the Democratic Party, favoring instead big-ticket liberal proposals, such as Medicare for All and the Green New Deal—each of which would cost U.S. taxpayers trillions.
While Georgia Senate candidate Jon Ossoff (D.) has expressed admiration for the progressive goals of Medicare for All and the Green New Deal, he has avoided endorsing them during his run. Fellow Democratic candidate Raphael Warnock has likewise dodged questions about both of them.
Regardless of possible voter fraud, not voting would give a win to the Democrats, the only way to defeat them is to fight back.
