Trump Takes Aim at NFL Commish Goodell After League Statement
President Trump is taking aim at NFL commissioner Roger Goodell over the NFL’s statement about the recent civil unrest in the country.
According to The Hill:
President Trump is taking aim at NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, questioning whether his statement supporting athletes’ rights to peacefully protest means that the league would stand by players who choose to kneel during the national anthem.
Could it be even remotely possible that in Roger Goodell’s rather interesting statement of peace and reconciliation, he was intimating that it would now be O.K. for the players to KNEEL, or not to stand, for the National Anthem, thereby disrespecting our Country & our Flag?

The post served as Trump’s latest salvo in what has become a long-running and divisive debate over professional athletes choosing to take a knee during the national anthem to protest police brutality and racial injustice. Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick started the demonstration in 2016, leading dozens of professional and amateur athletes to replicate it in the ensuing years.
Trump has repeatedly decried the protest, once suggesting that NFL owners should fire players who kneel during the anthem.
But Goodell last week issued support for NFL players after a group of the league’s most prominent African American athletes released a video montage demanding that the league condemn racism and admit it was wrong for attempting to silence them before.
Trump has continuously refused to back down in the battle with the NFL and his recent statements seem to indicate he has no intentions to.

you must be girly man because I am sure if you were athletic enough to play a game with a SUBSTANTIAL income for a living you would. In terms of their kneeling I think of them as traitors and stopped watching the nfl 4 years ago.
Roger Goodell is a weak kneed commissioner if he caves and allows athletes to kneel during the playing of the national anthem in order to bring attention to any problem. Respecting the flag and the national anthem is a tradition going back to the founding of our country and we can not and will not honor complaints from individuals who do not respect the flag and national anthem. Most Americans want what is best for the country and that is to treat everyone with dignity and respect. However, when you have football players disrespecting our flag and national Anthem, they are disrespecting all Americans. We know police brutality does exist, but it is not the systemic problem many seem to believe it is. Play ball!
I have yet to see any media present the actual statistics for black deaths by police. They tell the truth about all this black persecution bs!
