Trump Administration Makes Drastic Change to Medicaid

The Trump administration has announced that it will make a major change to Medicaid. The administration will now allow states to scale back their Medicaid spending if they convert part of their Medicaid funding into block grants.
According to The Hill:
States will have the ability to scale back Medicaid spending by converting part of their Medicaid funding into a block grant under a new Trump administration program announced Thursday.
AdvertisementA letter to state Medicaid directors outlines how states can undertake the drastic, controversial change that conservatives have eyed for years.
The move is likely to kick off a furious legal fight. Democrats have been arguing the administration doesn’t have the authority to approve such drastic changes, and Medicaid advocates argue the changes would hurt low-income people and invite states to cut costs and reduce coverage.
…
The new block grant program lets states trade that away for more flexibility in how they run their program. States will get a fixed amount of money, regardless of outside circumstances.
States will now be able to install work requirements as a condition of Medicaid without getting federal permission.
Obamacare’s electronic records mandate has killed thousands of patients. Doctors & hospital administrators warned Obama that there was no infrastructure in place to support such a drastic measure & asked for time to implement it properly, Obama refused.
People with no insurance have BETTER healthcare outcomes than those on Medicaid. My husband was killed by THREE separate doctors who failed to treat a urinary tract infection properly. TWO of them, both women, took a urine sample but failed to send it out to be cultured. My husband became septic, spent 22 days in the hospital & I had to remove him from life support. Medicaid is DEATHCARE just like ALL SOCIALIZED medicine.
My sincerest condolences for your loss. With that said, I agree with you 100%.
THIS…is what ObamaCare was designed to do. Obama knew it, from the start.
I worked for almost 20 years shuffling every sort of Medical paperwork, and
fought like crazy when Hitlery tried to do this in the 1980’s. When I finally
managed to get back to college, the ACA was in its beginning stages, and when
I read through that Law… I recognized Hitlery’s fingerprints!! Apparently,
reading the Law to its fullest wasn’t a part of my Class, but I’m glad I did.
At the end, I finished Assoc. Science Degree in Hosp. Admin.-Medical Records,
but ….chose to step away from it ALL and the sadness that came with it.
Good old Obamacare. Sarcasm off
So, if you want it, work for it. How dare they expect lazy dead beats to actually earn their own way, I mean, it isn’t as if we live in a nation of “independence”. I am disabled, but I have to pay for medicaid/medicare, plus I have to pay for prescription coverage, both out of my small disability check every month, and I also have a copay on both, but if I just sit at home, crack pipe in one hand, video controller or keyboard in the other, refuse to get a job, they ill give me all of that and more for free.
SAD BUT TRUE! GET OUT AND VOTE WHEN THE TIME COMES!
