Bolton Rolls Out New Strategy To Defeat America’s Enemies

Trump’s National Security Adviser John Bolton released a new strategy to counter the rising Russian and Chinese influence in Africa. The Daily Wire reports:

In a speech to the Heritage Foundation on Thursday, National Security Adviser John Bolton explained how the Trump administration is taking a tough stance on Russia, China, and the United Nations in regard to their Africa strategy.

“This strategy is the result of an intensive interagency process, and reflects the core tenets of President Trump’s foreign policy doctrine,” Bolton explained. “Importantly, the strategy remains true to his central campaign promise to put the interests of the American People first, both at home and abroad.”

President Trump wants to strengthen alliances and trade partnerships on the continent, while also combating the growing threat of radical Islamic terrorism, said Bolton.

The former U.N. ambassador also discussed how China and Russia are using bribery, threats, and intimidation to gain influence in Africa.

Opening a new front against America’s enemies in Africa will deny them the strategic influence that they seek, but will have to be properly resourced so it does not result in overstretch.
