Trump’s Bold Healthcare Plan

President Trump is leading the fight for an overhaul of the health care that would lower costs for Americans with minimal government interference. The Free Beacon reports:

President Trump’s visit to the Department of Health and Human Services Thursday is the latest move in his administration’s fight to lower prescription drug costs, increase choice and flexibility within health plans offered under the Affordable Care Act aka Obamacare, and defeat progressive calls for Medicare for All.

The president’s point man in these efforts is Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar, who replaced Tom Price last January. An attorney with extensive experience both within government and the pharmaceutical industry, Azar is advancing the Trump health agenda along multiple fronts.

When President Trump’s recent USA Today op-ed on health care and democratic socialism came under fire from many in the media, it was Azar who provided cover.

Much of the president’s criticism was directed at Medicare for All, a proposed overhaul of the health care system supported by a large number of congressional Democrats. Trump argues that “Medicare for All” is a misnomer for what in reality would be a “government-run, single-payer health care system” with a possible price tag of $32.6 trillion over 10 years.

Healthcare remains an important issue for Americans, and this Republican solutions offers a fresh option from the failing Obamacare system.

I have another suggestion. Donald Trump is a genius. He would know how to implement it.
In Michigan, we had a great annual event, known as “Project Healthy Living” or “Healthorama,” which took place during the months of March through May. Some of it was subsidized by volunteer groups, labs, hospital staff, equipment groups. You paid out of pocket (no insurance necessary), a low cost amount, for any test you wanted to sign up for, such as full CBC blood lab work, artery ultrasounds (to see if you had clogged arteries, were a candidate for stroke, etc., peripheral artery testing, ) various radiological tests, eye exams, hearing exams, doctor consults, etc. You received the test results personally. If something seemed out of wack, you would see your own doctor or get a referral. This preventive testing was a wonder, saved lives, saved money. After Obamacare was initiated, it all disappeared. Let’s revive it.

It’s a great thing and logical but it involves common sense and the lib democRATS don’t have a clue of what that is.

“Medicare for All” — sounds pretty good, huh? Well, let us see how that would work… or can we? I am a 92 year-0ld on Medicare. A hefty payment (approaching $200. per month) is taken out of my Social Security check each month for Medicare. Would Medicare for All mean that I would not have to pay for it? If not, then who would be paying for it? Healthcare doesn’t come free. Healthcare equipment must be paid for (operating rooms in hospitals; anesthesia; exam tables, operating tables and all those other hospital necessities; nurses have to be paid; blood tests have to be paid for; cleaning people have to be paid; doctors have to support their families; the list can go on and on. So, all you socialist dreamers ‘out there’, just who do you think is paying for all that? Nothing in this life is “free”, except perhaps the air we breathe. Go think about it.–

You are so right about Medicare, everyone thinks we get it free, wrong, then you need a supplement insurance and a prescription plan. With my Medicare payments and the others I’m paying almost $500.00 a month for health care. Thank God they finally left my husband into the VA. No,thing is free.

According to one genius college student out in California who was asked this exact question, “Who would pay for this Medicare for everyone” his answer, the government. When asked where he thought the government would get he money he said Oh they have plenty of money. I’ll bet if his parents saw him in this video they would be so proud knowing that their money for his education was preparing him for he future

Free things is what the democrat communists call it when they take money from working people and give it to lazy folks too smart to have jobs , work and be responsible for themselves. IT’S GOOD OLD FASHIONED “SOCIALISM”. Didn’t work for the original colonists at Jamestown and doesn’t work anywhere where freedom loving people live.

If only we could drill this concept into their heads…I’ve lived in countries where they have socialized medicine, Japan and Germany. Doctors hate it mostly because if someone has a
sniffle, they storm the waiting rooms taking up Doctors time with nonsense. Of course both
countries have a booming economy by the sale of cars mostly, so they are not too hard up. Here
we have SO many welfare type programs that the cost of implementing a medicare for all would be horrendous. and think of all the “illegal” people who would get medical help who didn’t deserve it?…California? Almost bankrupt? And who exactly does pay for it? The wealthy CEOs of corporations? I think not. They do not contribute enough money towards the debt for the privilege of living and taking advantage of the American way. CEO’s making $10million a year? Exactly how much does a person need to live? To pay for this, the first thing I’d do is hit all people who have assets of more than $2million dollars with a 10% surcharge tax..so lets see, the football, basketball, baseball, CEO’s, Hollywood riffraff,….did I miss anyone? From all these people their “share” to contribute to the American way would knock a hell of a dent in either the budget deficit or pay for a medicare for all. Of course they may have to sell a villa in Spain or Italy, sell their 200 foot yacht, you know all the things that they brag about that they have. If that works, we might do it again in another 5 years. I don’t mind people making money, but all these that I’ve mentioned are truly overpaid for what they do..ALL of them…that includes Congress who went into D.C. broke and somehow came out 4-6 years later a millionaire….like Obama, what a joke, and he’s laughing at us all the way to the bank.

Obamacare was meant to fail from the very beginning. Even Obama admitted it. It was just the “foot in the door” to an eventual single payer socialized health care system which he knew would not fly if it was called what it really was. Socialism and federalism cannot successfully co-exist.

Why should I pay into the system and let others who did not get the sane benefits. Democrats only looking for votes

Why isn’t there a law that states that tax dollars cannot be used to pay benefits to people as a reward for voting to continue the handouts? Democrats have been doing this for multiple decades and we the tax payers are allowing this to take place. Maybe such a law should also state that people living on government welfare should NOT have a right to vote since it is really a “quid pro quo” program which is a crime.

Get the hell out of healthcare. We DO NOT want socialized healthcare run by the government. All you’re doing is opening us up to the possibility of government control of said care where they start controlling who gets what…..and if you don’t think the commies won’t use it against their enemies you’re a fool.

There is only ONE healtcare plan which is at all legal: the 10th Amendment!

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Healthcare is NOT one of the “enumerated powers” the Constitution grants to the Feds. Therefore, it is blatantly UNCONSTITUTIONAL for the Feds to meddle with healthcare in any way whatsoever. That power belongs to the STATES!

What people don’t think about is the medical industry will NOT grow under socialized medicine, there won’t be new drugs or looking for new cures for diseases. When medical equipment breaks it won’t be replaced. they will just leave sick babies died and older people also. Think about what happened in England in the last few years with 2 babies that they just left die, they wouldn’t let them try new treatments.
