Trump Speaks Out on Manafort

President Trump has something to say about the Paul Manafort trial. The Free Beacon reports:

President Donald Trump called former campaign chairman Paul Manafort a “very good person” on Friday and said his ongoing fraud and tax evasion trial in Virginia was “very sad.”

Addressing reporters outside the White House, Trump also said Manafort, who is facing a de facto life sentence if convicted on all charges, only worked for him for a “very short period of time.”

“I think the whole Manafort trial is very sad,” he said. “When you look at what’s going on there, I think it’s a very sad day for our country. He worked for me for a very short period of time, but you know what? He happens to be a very good person, and I think it’s very sad what they’ve done to Paul Manafort.”

Trump previously compared the charges against Manafort to the tax evasion charges that brought down notorious mobster Al Capone. He joined Trump’s campaign in March of 2016 and served as campaign chairman from June until August of that year. He’s credited with helping Trump secure the Republican nomination.

Will Trump pardon him if the jury convicts him?

It doesn’t make any difference what he does. If he pardons him, the MSM will say, laws don’t apply according to Mr. Trump. If he doesn’t pardon, him the MSM will say he abandons his friends and turns his back on them, he’s only in it for the money.

First they have to gt a conviction and with their star witness about to be charged with perjury and the way they are pissing off the judge it’s not looking too good for the prosecution.

Your right. If he died they would blame him for ruining their circulation. He’s alive so they blame him for breathing.

USA wise, there could be dozens of more successful people that could/will have the same thing done to them. World wide, maybe even hundreds. But, NO, because they aren’t associated with DJT, it won’t happen. The Clintons and their minions and sheeple, many other politicians, the rich and famous, Wall Street insiders, ….. NO. I seem to remember in the past they looked at Manafort and acquitted him on identical charges. I believe witch hunt has been used to describe the situation. I can see a pardon coming.

If Paul Manafort is convicted of anything, I would pardon him if I were the president, because all of this is built upon trying to bring down the president with a phony dossier.

If convicted Manafort should pay an appropriate fine. That is it. NO JAIL TIME. Manafort is the victim of a witch hunt. —

Yet, he has been kept, in jail, this entire time, being denied bail. Yet, 5 mussies, one murderer, are free to roam on $20,000 bail.

Nothing happened to Timothy Geithner for not paying his taxes! And what about the 30 something others on the Obama staff that never filed their taxes? According to Investor’s Business daily on 26 Jan 2012, ” 36 Obama aides owed $833,000 in back taxes”! Per the IRS, 36 of President Obama’s executive office staff owed the country $833,970 in back taxes. These people working for Mr. Fair Share apparently haven’t paid any share, let alone their fair share.
And what about Al Sharpton’s tax debacle? I’m pretty sure he didn’t do any time let alone “SOLITARY CONFINEMENT”!!

Obama, Comey, McCabe, Rosenstein, Mueller and Yates ARE THE CRIMINALS in this “witch hunt”. Trump correctly called it way back in 2016 when the Steele dossier was exposed.

Manafort made the mistake of not setting up a private charity like the Clintons.

President Trump is right on all counts. Even Judge Ellis said the only reason Mueller is pursuing this case is he hope Manafort will give him dirt on Trump. Mueller isn’t investigating a crime, he trying to create a crime out of thin air.

This isn’t the first time Mueller has done this. That is why his friends Comey and Rosenstein chose him.

If Manifort is convicted and Trump pardons him, there are state charges on the same thing but a different criteria which Trump can not pardon Manifort for state crimes and New York agreed to hold their case of tax fraud off until the Federal trial was over. Manifort lied on his taxes nothing to do with not filing them, he filed but lied and should get the same punishment anyone else caught doing the same thing would get.

President Trump is truly God’s Gift to the American people. The Democratic Communist Party will say or do anything to obstruct the Trump Administration in every good thing they do for this great country. They will never stop him, because the American people are really wise to all their dumb tricks and lies. Remember, a vote for a Democrat is a vote for Communism. GO TRUMP ! GO PENCE ! Sincerely, Martin Korab

He broke the law, but the investigation violated his constitutional rights and is founded on politically planted evidence that undermines an elected President. I’d say that trumps any tax fraud Manafort may have committed. Everyone behind this investigation needs to be fired and any judge who supports this effort disbarred. We are seeing political agents abusing powers and committing treason. If any American supports this investigation you are giving up your rights to a fair trial, mocking Western Law, giving up your constitutional rights, and allowing political agents to undermine our democracy, and place our national security at great risk. If you ask me it’s “Grossly Negligent!” oh wait “Extremely Careless..” quoted from James Comey I’m thinking grossly negligent is more appropriate. The FBI is just trying to cover up their indiscretions by putting the heat on President Trump’s attorney. What a mess.

Kudos to Pres Trumo if Manafort is actually convicted, I hope Pres Trumo should immediately pardon him. After all, even the judge in the case has been quite vocal about this distasteful & disgusting act by Head Warlock Mueller to be so desperate as to charge a man for decades old case that even the IRS chose not to prosecute when given the chance. Desperate special counsel resorts to desperate measures to try & get one of the narcs to compose a lie in hopes of entrapping our Great President! Shane on you Mueller… You are a sad & pathetic specimen of a corrupt loser!

If Manafort is convicted, Trump should immediately pardon him – his trial is not showing anything that they are after……even the judge in the case has been quite vocal about this distasteful & disgusting act by Head Warlock Mueller .

If convicted hope Trump will pardon Manafort if for no other reason, to kick mueller in the teeth, mueller has gone after every one who helped Trump in his campaign and if that is not political bias don’t know what is, if Manafort had never been affiliated with the president he would not be on trial now

I think a Special Council spending millions of dollars and the FBI assets is overkill, considering it’s a tax problem Isn’t that why we have the IRS. If there isn’t an underlying agenda, why are we paying them.
