Trump Sends Cease and Desist to Arizona Senate Candidate
Attorneys for the former president reportedly issued a cease-and-desist letter to Republican Arizona Senate candidate Mark Brnovich to demand he stop using Trump’s “name, image, and/or likeness”.
Brnovich has continued to use Trump’s photograph to fundraise despite Trump’s endorsement of his opponent, Blake Masters, according to The Washington Post.
“Your use of President Trump’s name, image, and/or likeness is likely to deceive individuals into believing President Trump supports, endorses, or otherwise promotes your candidacy for U.S. Senate in Arizona — he does not,” an attorney for Trump wrote to Brnovich’s campaign.
Despite using his likeness to fundraise, Brnovich stood against Trump after the 2020 election when he announced he saw “no evidence, there are no facts that would lead anyone to believe that the election results will change.”
Trump has repeatedly described him as a “disappointment”.
It’s not the first time Trump has sought to stop candidates and organizations from using his image. Last year, he tried to stop the Republican National Committee, claiming they didn’t have permission to use his name and image for fundraising.
The RNC refused, saying Trump is a public figure thus it may “refer to public figures as it engages in core, First Amendment-protected political speech.”

The RNC using Trump for fund raising, when they refused to fully back him during his time in office and the 2020 election, is why I refuse to give that bunch any money. Unless I know that the donation will go straight to Trump, not one penny from me!!

I completely agree; I no longer contribute to the GOP or the RNC. All my support is now focused on my local party and assuring that we nominate true Constitutional conservatives.
At our last election of local party officers we had a 180 change in the direction of the party. Too many of the “old guard” were either complacent concerning the voter fraud, or out right Trump haters and would sell the country down the drain rather than vote for him.
We have started seeing an increase in attendance of our meetings by the public and we have asked every Republican candidate to come to a meeting and present their platform. The Q & A sessions afterward become very tell tale!

I am so Glad that I have nothing to do with the RNC. While a public figure’s links and pictures can be used in SOME instances, Trump is in fact and ACTOR and a PRODUCER, and the use of his likeness for monetary gain or to create income is illegal regardless of what the RNC argues. With regard to this asswipe using Trump’s name and likeness to feign endorsement, Trump should sue to make this asswipe send letters to EVERY registered voter sayin that Trump does not endorse him.
