Schumer Refuses to Meet Trump’s SCOTUS Pick
In a major act of political foot-stomping Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is refusing to meet with President Trump’s Supreme Court Nominee, Amy Coney Barrett.
According to The Hill:
Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) said on Tuesday that he will not meet with Judge Amy Coney Barrett, President Trump‘s third Supreme Court pick.
Democrats are weighing whether to meet with Barrett as she begins her Capitol Hill outreach on Tuesday, where she is scheduled to meet with several Republican senators including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).
Two Democrats on the Judiciary Committee — Sens. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) — said over the weekend that they won’t meet with her. But Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) indicated on Sunday that he wanted to.
“It’s my intention to do so … I’m going to make it very clear. One of the things I want to ask her is will she recuse herself in terms of any election issues that come before us, because if she does not recuse herself, I fear that the court will be further delegitimized,” Booker told “Meet the Press” when asked if he would meet with Barrett.
The meetings between the nominee and the Senators are not required but have become part of the normal procedures in these situations.

Shouldn’t Cory Booker be in prison by now for that cocaine induced, homosexual murder a couple years ago? He doesn’t get to decide what cases a Supreme Court Justice hears, and she only starts returning the court to being a legitimate one again, after years of socialists abusing their position, making policies, and violating the Constitution. I’m sure he thinks butt hurt feelings of a panzy are more important than facts, and the law, though.
Ms. Barrett make no commitment to recluse on anything with any politician. No need to do so, you will be selected anyway. And the job is not to be involved in politics but to rule on the law and just the law. Booker is obviously an idiot like others who does not understand what a real judge does.
