President Trump met with FEMA officials at Camp David over the weekend to discuss the government’s response to Hurricane Dorian.

President Trump on Saturday met with FEMA officials at Camp David to discuss the response to Hurricane Dorian. Mr. Trump canceled a weekend visit to Poland to plan for the potentially catastrophic storm that could affect more than 20 million Americans.
AdvertisementMr. Trump briefly left Camp David to visit Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, on Saturday morning, according to pool reports. He returned to the presidential retreat Saturday afternoon.
White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said the president has been briefed hourly on the storm and that he “participated in several phone calls.” When asked about a video posted by The Hill claiming to show Mr. Trump golfing, Grisham said, “I have no idea what that video is.”
Dorian may spare Florida from a direct hit and make landfall over South Carolina on Wednesday or Thursday. State of emergencies are in effect for the entire states of Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina, and 12 counties in Georgia.
The true direction of the storm remains unknown as the storm continues to weaken.

I don’t know why the press seems to think that because the President may take a couple hours and play a few holes of golf that he’s neglecting his duties. In every single picture you can see people in the background. His protection of course, and others with ear devices, and I’m sure that they are being fed info constantly. I just can’t see this President not having his mind on business as well as a little relaxation. Have you ever noticed how fast President’s age while in office?? They have to have some kind of activity to blow off a little steam. I just recently at 72 years of age played my first golf game, and it’s a blast. I understand the attraction now. Plus it’s excellent exercise. President Trump is certainly not the first President to enjoy the game. The press in this country is so far leaning it’s a wonder they don’t all end up on the floor in the morning while trying to put on their pants. It’s a disgrace to former reporters for all time.
They never complained when Obama went golfing.
