GOP Strikes Back at Twitter with This

Twitter suspended Mitch McConnell’s reelection account, and this caused a general pushback by the GOP and President Trump. Fox News reports:

Republicans are going to war with Twitter after the platform froze the Mitch McConnell re-election account this week because the campaign posted a video of threats directed at the Senate majority leader, just as President Trump is planning a separate crackdown on left-wing social media bias.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee on Thursday said it won’t spend money on Twitter until the situation is “adequately addressed.” A top official with the Republican National Committee also said the RNC and the Trump campaign would not spend money with Twitter “until they address this disgusting bias.”

Meanwhile, the White House for weeks has been hinting at possible action in relation to how social media outlets treat conservatives. A White House official told Fox News the administration is “exploring all policy solutions.” The administration has circulated drafts of a possible executive order from Trump, following a summit last month where he met with conservative social media influencers, according to Politico.

“If the internet is going to be presented as this egalitarian platform and most of Twitter is liberal cesspools of venom, then at least the president wants some fairness in the system,” a White House official told the outlet. It is unclear what the order will entail or how it would aim to curb social media bias but it reportedly deals with other issues as well.

Twitter is a critical way for political campaigns to reach their voters and supporters. Should it be regulated to be viewpoint neutral?

ALL ‘social media’ should be totally without bias. If they are going to allow the Dems to say whatever they want, then they should allow the Republicans to say whatever they want… tit for tat. If it takes a Government mandate to achieve that state of affairs, then so be it. Social media should definitely take no sides, one way or the other. Social Media is probably the cause of so many mass shootings. Take a minute to think about that…. until the advent of so much comment on ‘social media’ mass shootings were practically unheard of. —

Twitter is all about socialism and liberal support in action, part of the main stream media. Anything they don’t gets locked down. I say WTF is going on with these people who can control what gets published and what doesn’t, what gives them the right??? I’ve had it up to here with these pukes.

Social Media Tweeter,Facebook, Google, Instagram must be dealt with by setting rules and guidelines that is fair and just to All it’s users. The Government needs to step in and regulate these media outlets from being bias to just certain individuals. We must regulate theses unfair Giant Media Techs and hold them accountable.

Twitter, Google, Facebook, et al are the town square of today. As they are modulated with biased censorship, free speech is abrogated. There needs to be open communication here. It is not unreasonable for the government to regulate these media as public utilities.
