President Trump Weighs In On NRA Crisis

President Trump admonished the NRA for its political infighting, trying to refocus the organization on fighting for gun rights. Breitbart reports:

President Donald Trump weighed in on the internal dispute in the National Rifle Association (NRA) on Monday, urging the organization to get back to the political fight for gun rights.

“It must get its act together quickly, stop the internal fighting, & get back to GREATNESS – FAST!” Trump wrote on Twitter.

NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre successfully fought off an attempt by the NRA president and board chairman, Oliver North, to oust him from the organization, prompting North to step down. Details of the internal power struggle leaked as the organization held its annual conference in Indianapolis last week.

Trump noted the NRA’s ongoing legal fight in New York, suggesting it should leave the state altogether.

Years of poor management and large sums paid to top executives, as well as broadening their interests to other political issues, has lead to it losing influence compared to other smaller organizations. The NRA remains the largest pro-gun organization in the country, and if it can refocus its strength on core issues, it will be able to harness the political voice of gun owners to prevent the Second Amendment from being destroyed.

NRA keep your infighting and back biting behind closed doors and if anyone feels the need to air their dirty laundry in public kick their ass out on the street and tell them to hit the bricks.

You’re there to fight the gun grabbing worthless politicians and protect our 2nd amendment not fight within. I never much cared for oliver north or LaPierre so maybe we need an overhaul of the leadership. When the leadership starts collecting “large sums of money” it may be time to change them out and get people in there who remember why the organization exists not lining their own pockets.

Get out of NY fast. It is on a downward spiral that the leadership refuses to see is a dead end
road. A socialist state can not survive among a democracy. It always fails
