President Trump has reached out to Democrats in the hope of brokering a deal that would reopen the government. The Hill reports:
President Trump on Saturday called on Democrats to “come on over and make a deal” as the partial government shutdown enters its eighth day with no agreement in sight.
“I am in the White House waiting for the Democrats to come on over and make a deal on Border Security,” Trump tweeted late Saturday morning.

The tweet came the morning after Trump huddled with Vice President Pence, incoming acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney and Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner at a closed-door dinner.

Nobody will miss the government and over the long haul, people will realize how unnecessary most of it is.
A few days ago Trump said the “shutdown” affects mostly democrats. People have no idea just how accurate Trump is with that comment. All government civil service is and has always been a gigantic “JOBS PROGRAM FOR LIBERALS”. It is also a totally “generational thing”. meaning generations of the same family has obtained government jobs because it was designed to operate that way.
The dems are monsters and they want to stay the obstructionist -so let the people see them for what they are. They think they know better and that their agenda is better –far from it. We want your agenda so stick to it. A lot of us are seeing what your trying to achieve and we are with you throu thick and thin.
Compromise is the Road to Defeat, Democrats will never work with President Trump or the American People. They are communist of the first Degree! I hope President Trump, isn’t fished into agreeing with the Democrats on this.
Pres Trump needs to use Defense funding to build the wall…. Defense means protecting America and its citizens… Forget the Democrats as they will not work with anyone especially President Trump…… Dump the socialists Democrats and the DNC needs to move to more centralizing position and work with all parties for the good of the American people….. remember…. The demoDorks have one thing in mind, and its NOT for America. Picking up congressional seats and sticking another filthy demotard in the white house in 2020 is all they strive for. Each time there is a shut down and they go back to work Congress votes them all pay lost. Trump should not sign it. Democrats need to feel the heat , because they caused this. Do you or I get a paid vacation if the company we work for shuts down? I don’t think so.
You are totally correct about that. Not only do they get “extra vacation time off” but they always get paid for it later. They should be forced to work under the same rules and regulations that people in the private sector do.
If the government “shuts down”, the employees of the shut-down agencies are not fired. They are sent home and are entitled to their salaries until they are actually fired. As no funds are authorized to pay the employees, they must await funding until the dispute is resolved. Once the dispute is resolved, the employees are paid, pursuant to their contract of employment. No additional government action is needed for this to occur AND it cannot be stopped.
No compromising, they never do, so we shouldn’t either. They own this shut down, let them keep it. They are guilty of murder rape and a slew of other crimes, they hate Americans and America, “F” um.
Stick to Your guns; You’re a great President & We the People love You!! And if You haven’t read about how Schumer said We needed a wall — obviously not recently — check it out the big hypocrite!
Here is good advise for Trump. STOP TALKING. You are beginning to sound weak and as if you are BEGGING. Just let this set. Let the government employees miss a couple of checks. Let them do the talking for you.
After this has set a while, it will begin to stink. Right now, the Dems are being silent and letting you sound desperate. REVERSE THIS.

The president has publicly reached out to the democRATS to find an end to the shut down but they have declined to give him an answer so now the president should step back and let them stew in their own juice, make them do the asking for a solution and dropping the funding for the border wall is not the solution
