BREAKING: President Trump Stands Firm
President Trump has decided not to sign the Senate spending deal which did not include funding. Fox News reports:
President Trump told House Republican leaders Thursday he will not sign a Senate-passed spending package that does not include sought-after border security funds, upending negotiations to avert a government shutdown by the end of the week.
House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., told reporters after meeting the president at the White House that Trump told them he will not sign the stopgap spending measure approved by the Senate Wednesday night because of “legitimate concerns for border security.”
“What we’re going to do is go back to the House and work with our members,” Ryan said. “We want to keep the government open but we also want to see an agreement that protects the border. We have very serious concerns about securing our border.”
Fox News has learned the House will try to amend the Senate bill with an additional $5 billion for a border wall, as sought by Trump. But it’s unclear whether that would pass — and it would face an even tougher time in the Senate, with the clock ticking before a Friday shutdown deadline.
It’s time for conservatives to stand up for their beliefs and make sure that America has border security.

I am so sick and tired of the spineless Ryan and McConnell. Both of them are n Washington to play politics and the taxpayers can go hang themselves for all they care about our safety. Thank GOD Ryan is leaving and I wish the same thing was happening with Mitch McConnell. The President appears to have more spine than the rest of the Republicans in Washington put together. The wall should have been built decades ago and then the President would not have to go through this mess – the American people too.

Please do not restrict your comment to only Republicans, who Donald Trump shows more spine. Democrats are the opposition to building wall though their predecessors , both parties, voted long ago for the immigration laws, and also for the walls (of whatever opposition) many years ago, and also the funding. Then Democrats did their normal “we voted for it” , before we “voted against it”. Know that individuals have left , replaced by others, but since they are voting for their constituents , I doubt that many constituents actually moved away earlier. In last 20 years, been a real population shift, but the incivility, rage , anger, bias, prejudice, slowly changed to negative sine 1980 era. Donald told them 3 years ago, and it was no secret, that Wall, Security, Border control, and also security within our borders from the criminals who came here long ago. We do not need criminals, and too many are drug cartel, gangs, and criminals who rape or impregnate young girls by older men.

I don’t know if you knew it, but Ryan’s wife and mother-in-law were Democratic operatives in earlier days (especially his mother-in-law). One can only imagine the ‘pillow talk’ that has been going on in his household. I never trusted Ryan to begin with and even less so after having learned this a couple years ago.

Tonight, the House passed a bill which contained $5.7 billion of the wall, but Mitch McTurtle plans to kill it in the Senate. He should have a vote of 51, but no he wants a supermajority vote of 60 to make sure this legislation dies in the Senate. RINO McConnell is a disgusting government parasite!

If the Presidential team proposes or accepts anything less than $5.0 billion for DHS funding with designated funds to build new segments of the wall, or replace the existing fencing with the wall, the negotiating team is committing political Hara Kari in ceding the upper hand to Congress.
The denial of these funds should result in the defeat of all incumbent Senators and Congress Representatives in 2020, even if it means those elected might be as intellectually capable as Alexandria Ocaisio-Cortez.
Do not misunderstand. As an incumbent Alexandria will have to be defeated too.
