Biden Admin to Include Females in Draft?
The Biden admin seems to be signaling support for including females in the military draft.
According to The Washington Free Beacon:
The Biden administration is urging the Supreme Court not to hear a constitutional challenge to the men-only draft registration system, but female Selective Service registration is still a possibility.
AdvertisementThe Justice Department told the High Court on Thursday that judicial action is unnecessary because Congress is actively considering whether to change draft registration rules. The National Coalition for Men and the ACLU say the Military Selective Service Act is unconstitutional because it discriminates against women, and they asked the justices to say as much in January.
“Although this Court might someday wish to reconsider the constitutionality of the MSSA’s registration requirement if that statutory provision remains unchanged, Congress’s attention to the question may soon eliminate any need for the Court to grapple with that constitutional question,” DOJ lawyers wrote in legal papers.
The government’s brief is a sign that female draft registration could soon become a reality. Though the administration asked the justices not to get involved, its brief makes no attempt to defend the constitutionality of the sex-selective draft.
It is thought that the court will likely grant the request seeing that historically they like to avoid constitutional questions that can be solved legislatively.

Why not include women in the draft? There are some very fine female aviators and I’m sure other good female officers. The enlisted ranks also have some fine female soldiers,sailors, and marines. Make the draft universal.

The 2020 presidential election was stolen, Biden has no legitimate claim to the Presidency. There is no data confirming that a significant amount of American voters voted for him in November, 2020 elections. Biden expresses his own opinions. There is no draft. Are they planning to reinstate the draft? I suggest they only accept those that have detachable parts so they can be whatever gender is the most convenient at the moment.

I have ALWAYS been a proponent of including females in the Military Draft; I wish that the Government would bring it back! I was against the original (1970’s) ERA because, among other things, it specifically exempted females from the Draft.
Explain that viewpoint to your daughters, if you have any.

Females have been moaning, groaning and complaining about blatant discrimination against them and a lack of equal rights, in comparison to males, for decades. If they are truly serious about equality, then they will fall in line and rejoice at being added to the Military Selective Service Act’s requirement for mandatory registration upon reaching the age of 18. They want equality? This would be one more way of insuring they get what they say they want.

As a veteran, I totally support a universal draft. If women want true equality, they should have equal responsibility. I am not sure that such a move wins Joe many votes — which is another reason it’s a good idea.

I would be against it. It does restrict women from serving, but like it or not, women are different. Are you going to draft a female if she’s pregnant? That certainly wouldn’t be a good idea, and you are putting two people’s lives at risk. Why are they talking about the draft now? Is there something brewing that we would need more people in the military?

Well, I have a feeling Feminists are going to be humming a different toon after the first few thousand KIA. And if you think what Men go through if captured by an enemy is bad, I’m pretty sure women are going have to deal with a whole lot more. After all, it’s not like they can just draft women for non combat, that would be sexist. Do it the way they always have. If you have no real special skills you will go to an infantry unit and learn to handle a firearm well. If you don’t have the body strength to perform as a soldier you’ll do push-ups until you DO. If for you personally “this is HAAAARD I WANT TO GO HOME” they will be happy to to give you a less than honorable discharge and you can see how much that helps you with future employment opportunities. Of course this should really be no problem as you ARE EQUAL TO MEN IN EVERY WAY. Good luck ladies.
