President Trump has rolled out a prison reform plan to put released inmates back to work. The Washington Free Beacon reports:

President Donald Trump said Wednesday that his administration is working to pass a major prison reform bill, in spite of the criticism it has attracted from his own Department of Justice.

Speaking to a meeting with inner city pastors at the White House, Trump emphasized the work that his administration has done to create jobs, including recently released inmates. He tied this expanded opportunity for prisoners to passage of the FIRST STEP Act, a prison reform proposal wending its way through Congress.

“We passed the First Step Act through the House, and we’re working with the Senate to pass that into law. And I think we’ll be able to do it,” Trump said.

“When we say ‘hire American,’ we mean all Americans—every American, everybody,” he added.

The plan could face opposition from conservative Republicans in Congress and liberals who would rather not vote for any legislation proposed by the Trump administration.

The public needs to be informed on how each member of the house and senate vote, on each proposal that is presented before them. If that person does not vote, or he votes against a proposal that conflicts with your way of thinking, we need to replace him or her.
Second: we need term limits, of three, four year terms, and they cannot ever run again for any seat in the house or senate.

You can see how conservative a Representative or Senator is by looking at www.conservativereview.com and go to ‘scorecard’ at the top of the page. This really does come in handy because most Republicans call themselves ‘conservative’ right before an election in order to get votes … but by looking at this scorecard, you will be able to see that some of these so-called conservatives absolutely AREN’T that way when they are in Washington, DC and can VOTE on bills. Some of these guys have been fooling their uninformed, apathetic state voters FOR YEARS, even decades, about their true liberal-leaning voting record.

President Trump has the right idea. We must help people who are being released from prison to become productive members of society. America first, and the people who have paid for their crimes by serving their prison sentences and earned their freedom should be welcomed into society and the job market. President Trump is fighting for their Constitutional rights and the American people are behind him 1000%. God Bless President Trump and his wonderful Administration always. GO TRUMP ! GO PENCE ! Sincerely, Martin Korab

sounds like a great program, however, if the commit another crime they need to do hard time w/o parole until full sentence is served. So don’t blow it people if you are given this w2nd chance in life.
First need to enforce term limits to two to four terms for both the senate and house Once there term is done they do not serve in any form of government or government agencies again.
The public has the right to know how the house and senate members voted on any of the proposed items that were brought before them. If any person choses not vote, due to conflicts then they are released from their seat, and they will be replaced. The house and senate members are elected and are to work for the people not themselves, and if they are not going to do that then fire them

Re term limits: In addition to banning any and all future government position, whether elected or HIRED, there should also be a ban on any employment as a lobbyist for any organization. That would prevent the “good ol boy” network from operating there, too.

Somehow I do not think the media will report on this. It actually shows the President as a deeply compassionate man concerned about all Americans regardless of race or background. This is a truth the media will never tell. If it gets any air time, it will be very, very little. The US media has become insanely, painfully infected with anti-Trump bias.

People have been in prison for years and for committing small crimes unlike the people in Washington who committed big crimes and swept under the rug by our rigged system. Gotta end this unfair game now
