We need to quit giving illegal immigrants incentives to come here. Last year Los Angeles, California spent 1.3 Billion dollars for welfare to illegal immigrants. That is just one city. Every problem in our country is rooted in illegal immigration. Whether it be lack of quality health care, crime, unemployment, poor education system . . . . you name it! End illegal immigration and order in our country returns. I do not have much hope for our country’s survival, though, as long as the Democrats need the “illegals’ ” votes.

I think we first before any deals are made we must finish the border fence first. There cannot be any way around this. If you go and make deals the fence will never get done as democrats will remove the funding as they have done in the past. All amnesty and no border fence like what we got in 2006. So the fence must come first and then we talk . No fence then no deals. We the people have been lied to so many times this what must happen now. Fence first. No deals until it’s finished.

My wife of 50 years, Marie, and I have been solid Trump supporters from the day he announced his candidacy. We both trace our direct-line family tree to pre-Revolutionary war living in America and in Alabama since it became a State. We strongly advocate enforcement of immigration laws.
I am a retired police supervisor so I feel that fair enforcement instead of totally technical enforcement should take the politics out of the issue. I have many relatives who legally immigrated from Mexico after my uncle married a Mexican lady just after the Korean war.
One of my brothers married a lady from Thailand and she recently got her American citizenship.
Marie & I have a daughter-in-Law, Amber, who has been awaiting approval of the renewal of her Green-Card for over a year now. She came to America from Canada at age 4 when her mother married an American working there. She went to grammar-school & high-school here in Alabama. Her original Green-Card expired when she was 14 and the family didn’t have the $1200 + for the renewal for her mother, brother & herself. She got married, had 3 children, and got divorced before marrying my son (who is old enough to be her father). They had financial troubles and moved to Georgia where they both found jobs. Marie & I gave them the money & insisted that she apply for renewal of her Green-Card since she could not apply for citizenship without it.
We are confident that President will continue to make America great again; build the wall & deport the illegal immigrants without standing on technicalities to the absurd….

Spot on there Larry OBrien – we have all seen our tech manufacturing voicing their concern about not enough sharp, entry level people with skills to fill the available positions. Worse, there are not enough who can get past testing for the potential to learn them due to a lack of basic Reading, Writing, Comprehension, and Math. This of course dovetails with a related issue, which Our President Trump called for in the SOTUA – create some Good Trade Schools to prepare our youngsters for jobs in Hi-Tech Manufacturing *after the master the basic needs of being able to read and comprehend what they are reading, make change without needing a calculator, write legibly and gain the ability to form a complete, coherent sentence, and last but not least – develop good work ethic and an American sense of Pride in doing a job well. The very last thing our economy needs is more unskilled labor seeping in through our borders, sucking down available assistance programs and barely keeping status quo. Being a Veteran, I watched some of the underdeveloped, poorly educated and those who felt they were owed a living, and felt shame in their inability to even get through Basic Military Training. We need to change some things, and change quickly! History can teach some valuable lessons if we just pay attention.

DACA applications (1.8 million) will mess up immigration for years for those who have applied to come here legally. Why should DACA go to the front of the line and those who have applied legally go to the back. Definitely time for merit based immigration, no lottery, e-verify, secure borders, but that does not mean that DACA comes first.
A case for DACA people to stay legally could be made, but NOT for granting them citizenship – ever. The illegality of their status should NOT be rewarded; lack of intention nor ignorance of the law has never been an acceptable defense for the rest of us.
The 4 – 5 MILLION people on the Chain Migration waiting list should be removed, NOT processed (15 years of continuing existence). They haven’t been screened, are not necessarily nuclear family members and majorly constitute an additional welfare burden.
These 6 MILLION (probably more) people should not be allowed access to citizenship – besides NOT rewarding their criminal acts, they WILL vote for DEMs, destroying our country.
Amnesty will only cause greater harm. We have granted seven amnesties to date each one resulting in higher rates of violations of our borders and visa laws.
A greater harm that economic is our safety and welfare, a recent report from the DOJ and DHS stated that 69,929 women and children were raped and molested by illegals between 2003-2009 bring that up to date would add 100,000 more.
A report from Texas stated that in their state over 600,000 crimes and nearly 3000 murders were committed by illegals between 2008-2014 that equals 9 Las Vegas shootings per year. While illegals make up less than 1% of our population 22% of federal prisoners are illegals
So then, why are we even considering an amnesty for DACA aliens? There is only one way to deal with this situation. Stand firm, DO NOT negotiate on ANY proposal. Deport all that’s here illegally. I’m tired of hearing about these poor “children”, who are an average age of 24-25 years old, some that STILL cannot speak English and has refused to even try to get themselves legal. Send them all back to where they came from.

I know a immigrate who came here on a work visa by himself to find work to pay for his invalid sons medication because of the low wages in his country he could not afford it. He has been here several years and yes he sends money back to his country. This man has never used govt assist, has no health ins, never been in any trouble with the law and has worked hard for everything he has. His son has thrived with the medication that helps keep his seizures under control. I believe he and ones like him should be able to stay and be able to work without fear of deportation. If he goes back to his country he will not be able to return because the cost is too high and you cant trust anyone to help you.

My meaning of DACA, Democrats against children of America. My grandkids pay for every book they get, no free healthcare. Nothing. Illegals come into this country and receive $1500.00 a month. I worked all my life, except when I was pregnant, and I do t get that much. They get free health care. I pay my Medicare, my supplement, and my prescription plan. As well as my husbands. He’s almost 80 and I’m 76. By the grace of God we live in our own home, but the school taxes are killing us. We haven had a kid in school since 1988.
