Congress is expanding its investigation of questionable overseas business deals by Biden family members and friends, with House leaders demanding documents from two more figures which may detail President Joe Biden’s personal involvement in unreported foreign business interests.

In addition to a request to President Joe Biden’s adult son Hunter, House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) is calling on Biden’s younger brother James, and Hunter Biden business partner Eric Schwerin to “provide documents, communications, and records related to President Biden’s involvement in his family’s business schemes.”

James Biden has landed a string of lucrative jobs by cashing in his connection to Joe Biden, including a being named an executive at a construction company that allegedly admitted the arrangement helped them land contracts during the Obama/Biden administration.

“Hunter Biden, James Biden, and Eric Schwerin are key witnesses in our investigation of Joe Biden’s involvement in his family’s international and domestic business schemes,” writes Comer.

“Evidence obtained in our investigation reveals the Biden family business model is built on Joe Biden’s political career and connections. Biden family members attempted to sell access around the world, including individuals who were connected to the Chinese Communist Party, to enrich themselves to the detriment of American interests. If President Biden is compromised by deals with foreign adversaries and they are impacting his decision making, this is a threat to national security,” writes Comer.

“The American people deserve transparency and accountability about the Biden family’s influence peddling. The Oversight Committee is committed to exposing the waste, fraud, and abuse that has taken place at the highest levels of our government. Hunter Biden, James Biden, and Eric Schwerin’s documents, records, and communications are critical to this investigation,” Comer concluded.

Investigators feel Schwerin may be able to directly connect Biden to Hunter’s deal.  As president of Hunter Biden’s consulting firm, Schwerin made 27 visits to the White House during Joe Biden’s vice-presidency, indicting Joe Biden was directly involved in Hunter’s business deals.

James Biden has a reported $7 million net worth, built on a string of high-level corporate positions despite little actual business experience.

In 2010 the construction firm Hill International hired James as an executive vice president, despite little relevant experience, reportedly just weeks after company officials met with Biden staffers at the White House.

Soon after hiring James Biden, the Obama/Biden administration awarded Hill a $1.5 billion contract to build housing in Iraq.
