David Hogg Issues Apology to Rubio After Lying About His Willingness to Meet
Hogg claimed Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) refused to meet with him because the senator is “triggered” by him, but Rubio’s chief of staff was quick to clear up Hogg’s malicious lie.
The young gun control activist, who was a high school senior during the Parkland school shooting, was caught in an embarrassing lie.
“Rubio staff said I can’t meet with him or his staff because I ‘trigger’ him. I just wanna have a conversation,” he said in a now-deleted tweet. “Please meet with me @marcorubio I just want to figure out how we can stop these things from happening.”
Rubio’s chief of staff, Michael Needham, was quick to correct the record.
Also, the reporter doing a profile of you knows the meeting is real since she was emailing yesterday with our comms team about it. Don’t lie again — we have receipts.

Hogg then deleted his tweet and issued a half-apology, blaming his staff for causing the apparent mix-up.

Hogg isn’t sufficiently intelligent to meet with grown-up senators. Besides, he won’t qualify to run for the U.S. Senate until 2030. Perhaps he should just call Kyle Kashuv instead. He’s a year younger and smarter than most members of the U.S. Congress.
He has “staff”?? Ignore him and he’ll go away. He’s a nobody.

An ” honest mistake”? Hogg has no honesty in him. Also, why would Rubio even meet with an irrelevant nobody. Hogg has no relevance to solving anything, and he is simply looking for press…and credibilty. He has no credibility, but he knows that if Rubio meets with him it would give him a sort of warped credibility in his mind.
