Elon Musk Makes Rare Political Endorsement

No stranger to politics, Musk chose to wade in deeper than usual Friday morning. Musk, who recently renounced being a Democrat, describes himself as “moderate” and typically sticks to broad commentary over individual endorsements.

It is rare for me to endorse political candidates.

My political leanings are moderate, so neither fully Republican nor Democrat, which I am confident is the case for most Americans.

Executive competence is super underrated in politics – we should care about that a lot more!

According to the Daily Caller, Rick Caruso is running for Los Angeles mayor as a Democrat, but three years ago was a registered Republican. He is the founder and CEO of an American real-estate company and was formerly the president of the Los Angeles Police Commission.

His platform is focused on reducing the city’s rampant crime problem. He’s polling at 24%, just ahead of California Representative Karen Bass, who have both pulled away from City Council Member Kevin de León.
