Biden Trying to Sway Manchin

Joe Biden is now personally trying to get Senator Joe Manchin D-W.V. on board with his Build Back Better spending plan.

According to The Hill:

President Biden spoke to Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) for the second time in a week on Monday in what is becoming an increasingly desperate last-minute effort to cajole him into voting for a sweeping climate and social spending bill before Christmas.

Manchin told reporters after the call he and Biden had “a nice conversation” and that he is “engaged” with the president.

He said he and Biden “were just talking” about “different iterations” of the legislation.

Asked if the $2 trillion bill could pass by Christmas, Manchin replied, “Anything is possible.”

The two will continue to talk in the coming days.

Mr Manchin said this morning that he’s a NO!!! Hope he sticks with it and doesn’t let the cronies in his party break, I mean twist his arms.
He needs to say no. Not only for his constituents but for the good of the country!

If he sticks to NO, he has more intergity than most Republicans.

My biggest concern is the party that he belongs to. In the end, they always seem to stick together.
People need to keep calling all his offices. His vote (either way) affects all of us.

Manchin said he will not vote for the bill no matter what.
