Roe v. Wade Gets New Poll Boost

A new poll by Post-ABC shows that by a near 2-1 margin Americans want to see Roe upheld. A similar margin shows that the country opposed the Texas law banning abortions after six weeks. Americans have widely opposed access to abortion after the first trimester. However, with challenges to long-standing precedent coming before the Supreme Court the new poll suggests that Americans widely oppose the new restriction on access. The Supreme Court has a 6-3 conservative majority that will review Mississippi’s prohibition on abortion after 15 weeks. The current standard is when a baby could survive outside of the womb Around 22-24 weeks. President Trump said he would select nominees to overturn Roe, and placed three justices during his time in office. Those justices are Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney-Barrett, and Brett Kavanaugh. Republicans on overturning Roe: 42% uphold, 45% overturn, 13% undecided. Democrats on overturning Roe: 82% uphold, 11% overturn, 7% undecided. Independents on overturning Roe: 58% uphold, 28% overturn, 14% undecided. U.S. adults on overturning Roe: 60% uphold, 27% overturn, 12% undecided.

America has descended into the absolute “cancel culture” DEATH. We; as a nation, no longer hold any moral values. But I saw this coming for many years. In 2000 and 2001 I sponsored youth concerts aimed at giving our local (county) youth an alternative to the trash most hip hop and indy musicians were producing. At that concert it was my greatest desire to show them the sanctity of life itself, with the hopes of having someone from Right to Life attend and address the youth. Sadly; I got no response from RTL and far too few individuals (and no churches) had enough foresight to recognize the need to turn the hearts of our youth back to a more wholesome lifestyle.

We’ve already murdered over 60 million American lives. It’s way past time to stop.

Am I the ‘only American’ who sees many, many thousands of American babies are continually being slaughtered in the womb . . as we tolerate many, many thousands of ‘Illegal Immigrants’ from other Countries, along with Criminal gang members, (to say nothing of the drugs brought in which destroys, even takes the lives of our youth) to enter our Country unimpeded? Does anyone care that our Country is rapidly changing to a home that no longer resembles the America I grew up in? ⁉️

Don’t believe their polls, at all. A poll is only as good as who they ask. Polls said Hillary was winning the presidency. We all know how that turned out. Also depends on who conducts the poll. Abortion is wrong, they are killing a little human being and I do not believe 2/3rds of Americans think that is right.

The reason most Americans support Roe v. Wade is that they don’t know what it does. They don’t know that it allows abortions for “health” reasons up to birth. They don’t know that it prevents ANY restrictions on abortion in the first trimester. They don’t know that an unborn baby has a beating heart from 6-8 weeks after conception, and that about 20 weeks, they can feel pain, quite possibly more acutely than a post-born person.

If you ask Americans what restrictions they want on abortion, they are for a whole host of restrictions that are not allowed under Roe (e.g., earlier time limits, giving the father a say in whether the baby is to be killed).

I’m pretty much in agreement with the thrust of this argument. Women should have a hassle free opportunity to terminate a pregnancy early on, as a basic human right. After that, the devil is in the details.

The Constitution isn’t based on a poll. Roe v Wade wasn’t based on the Constitution; it was based on the liberal agenda to degrade the Country.

The ABC poll is fake news, designed to shore up politically an immoral, constitutionally unprincipled ruling.

With Roe vs. Wade intact, who needs terrorists? We will decimate ourselves out of the majority and you-know-who will rule in our stead: Allahu Akbar, that’s who. If you believe in the Judaeo-Christian foundation of this nation (‘Treat others as you would want to be treated’), then have children!
