Former CDC Director Makes Acknowledgement That Should Upset Parents

There is not enough data to support masking children in schools. According to former CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield, that is a fair criticism.

According to Town Hall:

Former Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Director Dr. Robert Redfield responded to pushback from Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum about the lack of solid data behind the agency’s push to require masks in schools by calling it “fair criticism.”

The Monday afternoon “The Story” segment saw MacCallum kick off the topic with a clip of Johns Hopkins surgeon Dr. Marty Makary – who, as Townhall’s Katie Pavlich reported, co-wrote a Wall Street Journal op-ed arguing that the science behind masking children is inconclusive – criticizing the guideline as “pretty stern and with zero data.”

Asked why his former agency hasn’t “spent the money on that study,” Redfield called the question “really important.”

“These policies should be grounded in data as opposed to opinion,” Redfield told MacCallum. “I think [Makary] raises a very important part. There’s been very few studies that really are compelling in that setting of the classroom. We did a number of studies when I was there just in fixed settings and recognized that if you aerosolized virus through a mask, and then the recipient had a mask – and these were all dummies – in rooms that were ventilated to different degrees, you could have an impact on the amount of virus that went from one room to another. But that’s not to say in a real-life scenario that that’s efficacious in the classroom.”

The NIH isn’t spending money on studies but is vigorously recommending masks. Something does not add up.

So we don’t err on the side of caution, we err on the side of politics. What about the harm being done by wearing masks for children? We just don’t seem to care about that.

In cases such as this, it depends on who has the power. Those with power must exercise it, and force others to recognize it, or they may rebell if the powerless realize they can deny, or resist. Children are being taught early, they are inferior. If we as parents accept the demands, the child has no one to look to for their own defense.
In 91 years, even during military service, my doctors and nurses discussed any health issue with me, and gave me the options. I had right to say no, or agree. Now medical seems to have been turned 180 degrees, with politicians making the demands, and Medical field (my personal providers) having no say, so we are in “cookie cutting field” with this virus. No other Virus has ever had this demand, and the sick patient was the one quarantined. Citizens were informed of disease, and each then took own action to avoid getting sick, themselves.

Mask are not the answer. The vaccines are still EUA, not approved by the FDA. Stay healthy and wash your hands until a REAL vaccine is developed. This is just like the flu was in it’s infancy. This BS is just the start of the government trying to control everyone. Fear is the current tactic… and it’s not working….. Great article, all parents should read it.

Please read the whole statement.

“We did a number of studies when I was there just in fixed settings and recognized that if you aerosolized virus through a mask, and then the recipient had a mask – and these were all dummies – in rooms that were ventilated to different degrees, you could have an impact on the amount of virus that went from one room to another.”

The available data would indicate that masking may help. In fact, he says that virus transmission into DIFFERENT ROOMS could be affected by wearing masks. If we can decrease virus transmission into different rooms, it would make sense that the effect will be even greater within the rooms.

It is true that studies have not been done with the delta virus, but that is because there hasn’t been time to do the studies, yet. In 2 months, there will be studies comparing schools that do and do not require masking of children. If we see that Corona virus infection within class rooms is decreased by masking, we will have data that it is effective. It is possible that masking will not be effective AND we see wide spread infections in class rooms. (or not). What will we do then? Return to virtual learning?

The concern is how many children will be left orphans if the child comes home with a virus that is infectious as chickenpox and gives it to a parent who has not taken steps to protect themselves. Who will take care of the child when the parent ends up in the hospital for several weeks, or perhaps even dies?

If you’re not going to get the vaccine, have you made preparations if your child is left without a parent either temporarily or permanently?

Does someone read my comments and approved (censor) them before they’re posted? Think about that.

Crooked democrats and their republican submissives or RINO’s don’t care about anything except getting themselves rich beyond belief with the power to control us all.

In mid-MAR 2020 as the Great Pandemic was just getting started, our wise family GP advised us that no evidence existed to demonstrate that SARS-CoV-2 was any worse than an outbreak of seasonal FLU. He also advised that Dr. Falsie has not treated an actual patient in 25 years and he was 99% certain that Falsie was corrupt (enlisted and purchased for political ends). Translation: the Pandemic is a political ploy to gain POWER, to dethrone Trump and to win the day for the DemonCrats.

Anybody that believes ANYTHING that the WHO, CDC, FDA, or the masked bug man, Faichi says is a fool.

They have made so many 180 degree turns in the last 18 months you have to check the websites every hour to tell what the current propaganda is.

One fact of science that does NOT come from them is kids are lousy at spreading covid and when they do get it they are very unlikely to have a severe case. – Sweden never masked the kids and didn’t close the schools. Total deaths of Swedes age 1 to 15,,,,,ZERO,,,, That’s right, NONE.
