Democrat Senator Signals Hesitancy on Infrastructure

Democrat Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) is signaling hesitancy on infrastructure, and that hesitancy likely isn’t sitting well with Chuck Schumer.
According to Town Hall:
Oh, you know Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was probably not too pleased about Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s (D-AZ) latest intentions about the infrastructure deal and the even more controversial reconciliation bill. The infrastructure deal is about $1 trillion. Reconciliation is around $3.5 trillion and has a lot of the far left’s goodie bag items. It’s ‘woke’ pork. Yet, Sinema has declared her intention not to support the latter, which mucked up the works for Democrats. Now, Joe Biden said Sinema might be “on board” if she sees what’s in the bill. Yeah, someone tell Joe, given Sinema’s track record, that it doesn’t mean she’s really “on board” especially when she sees the waste and far-left nonsense in it. President Dementia at his finest. Yet, forget her reading the bill, the vote must happen soon because the Arizona Democrat is going on vacation this month—and she’s not working through the August recess on these bills. She’s off to enjoy the sunshine—and Democrats need her vote to pass the reconciliation package (via Politico) …

It all circles back to what we’ve known about this feisty Democrat. She beats to her own drum, and she will happily flip anyone off. She’s very much her own person. A part of me wonders how Sinema would have behaved if Harry Reid was still the leader of the Senate Democrats, as it was known he was Dark Lord of the Sith when it came to keeping members in line. Right now, Sinema will do what is best for her constituents and no New York Democrat is going to tell her otherwise.
Scrap the useless socialist pork in bill & focus on Infrastructure
A-man pork and more pork is all the scum bags know because they skim a fortune off these bill by buying in early.
Good for her! I have always tried to support individuals for office and not political parties.
That said, our infrastucture is obviously crumbling and needs repair and expansion urgently.
I am in favor of a 100% infrastructure bill
instead of one mostly full of PORK.
One that actually goes to the builders of something
and not to regulators and paperworkers.
Scrap this useless POS bill before my great great great grandchildren are saddled with debt that their great great great grandchildren will still be paying during their lives. If there is still a USA left by then.
I lived in Phoenix when Sinema first started in politics(she served three terms as a state representative for Arizona’s 15th legislative district from 2005 to 2011) I didn’t really pay attention always, but I do remember her being more inclined to follow her own gut and not any “leadership’s” gut. We need more politicians who think for themselves, listen to their constituents and not play follow the leader. My Dem Senator doesn’t listen to a thing anyone says, but her return form letters spout the same old catch phrases like “comprehensive immigration reform”- nothing more than amnesty, and the line “pathway to citizenship”. We already have this in current law, they apply to legally come here and then wait (freedom is not free), If they are approved and come here, get that green card, then keep working to be get Naturalized, path to citizenship. Doesn’t matter that it’s not as easy as ordering a hotdog, it should never be.
Unfortunately when it comes to voting all the Democrats will cave and vote for wasting our money. I wish our representatives would commit to actually representing we the people instead special interests pork projects with kickbacks that only make them richer.
Correct. Let’s see if Manchin and Sinema stay ‘principled’ when the Democrats load up an extra heaping of pork for Arizona and West Virginia, then cut the overall size of the bill down. Will Sinema suddenly change her tune “in the interests of the people of Arizona?” She can then claim she held off the 3.5 trillion bill (to gain favor from the right), while still delivering in the end to the woke left. From my point of view – these infrastructure bills are ridiculous. What’s to say the federal government will do a better job on infrastructure spending than private industry? (Spoiler alert – they won’t). Any more “bridges to nowhere” coming up in Alaska or anywhere else? Why should the people of a poor state have to pay for a boondoggle in Boston (remember the ‘big dig?’) And why should my grandchildren have to contribute to Alexandria Ocasio-Dumbest-person-on-the-earth’s stupid wasteful socialist programs?
It is still a SAD NOTE that there are not more Democrats that represent their constituents instead of going along with Party Lines! It is also a SAD NOTE that 16 RINOS do not have the guts to say NO to the Democratic Plan that has very little to do with Infastructure.
SAD???? Try the word – – – – CRIMINAL!!!!!! They should all be marched to the gallows – don’t even waste a bullet on them, they’re not worth it.
The problem is after you have read this 2700 page Bill
you have to scrape the S#%+ off of your shoes it’s so
deep in unnecessary BullS#%+
Sinema doesn’t represent the socialist Democrat Party; she represents Arizona. Maybe she understands that.
Re Schumer: Boo Hoo!!! Too bad!! Life’s a b—h, he’ll get over it or sit in a corner and pout!!! I could care less, he is worthless and his opinion means absolutely NOTHING to me!!!
I once had a supervisor who used a financial support initiative as a pretext to throw money at something else entirely unrelated. She knew it would escape official notice. Because of this I knew she was a Democrat.
Nobody with 2 working brain cells gives a damn what Schumer likes or hates. There is a contest in the White House to find the most brain dead. Number ! Biden, 2 Harris 3 Pelosi 4 Schumer (and it is neck and neck)
It would be nice if she rejected this bill. However, the KKKRAKAS always have a way of getting these people to go along with their crap! They make sure to stay together, something we have not yet learned. Just look at the Repubs wanting to vote for this monstrosity? Sad!
But, I hope she holds the line.
The Democrats play hardball with their own people. Those who don’t tow the line lose reelection support and party funding, and legislative leaders are not shy about reminding their minions about the consequences of free thinking.
Can we trade McConnel and Romney for Sinema and Manchin?
YES.
Kristen, stick to your guns and your beliefs. Creepy Chuck Schumer is NO Daniel Patrick Moynihan. My view: pure infrastructure NO pork, no poltical posturing in the bill.
Rot in Hell Schumer, you POS!
It should be the Republicans holding up this pork coop. Shame on Republicans for letting it be a Democrat doing their job. Where are you Ted Cruz?
Every Bill they try to pass is like them saying “One for you three for me”
I cannot stand the Democrat Party as they do not stand for what their constituents say they want. So what astounds me even more is why do they vote Democrat when they know the elected person will follow corrupt party line and ignore the voter. Vote Republican or Independent but don’t vote Democrat.
I hope Sinema stands firm and not support this evil bill!
Chuck is another reason why We need term limits! Corruption is Deep within.
I am totally convinced that these idiots had NOT formal education. They certainly weren’t in any of MY classes!!!!! Bet they don’t even know how to balance a checkbook!!!!
Sadly the porkulous infrastructure bill passed the senate. Schumer has now turned his attention to the $3.5 trillion dollar Democrat’s socialism bill. Sad so many Republicans didn’t have the brains to oppose the first pork bill.
