Democrats Threaten Catholic Church
The Catholic Church is considering denying President Biden communion and in response, House Democrats are threatening to remove the church’s tax-exempt status.
According to The Daily Wire:
Rep. Jared Huffman (D-CA) accused the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) of politically weaponizing religion by voting to draft a document that could result in a rebuke of pro-abortion Catholic politicians and suggested punishing them by stripping the Catholic Church of its tax-exempt status.

Huffman’s tweet was in response to a statement last week from 60 Catholic House Democrats warning the USCCB against what they described as “weaponizing” the Eucharist. The USCCB on Friday overwhelmingly voted in favor of drafting a document that could lead to a rebuke of publicly pro-abortion Catholic politicians such as President Joe Biden. The document, which will be made public at a later date, will advise bishops how to best to enforce the guidelines regarding the reception of Holy Communion.
According to the Code of Canon Law, those who are “obstinately persevering in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.”
House Democrats have said that conscience is greater than the church’s guidance.

I think the Democrats just need to back off but then most if them are too dumb to realize that out of 7.8 billion people in the world, over 3 billion are catholic!! Combine that with all the other Christian denominations, those are odds they cannot fight against!!
It seems Rep. Jared Huffman is weaponizing the government against anyone who disagrees with democrats. I’m not a Catholic but I believe they have the right to set the rules for their church. Freedom of religion is the first freedom we’re given. That’s not not freedom of the government to demand a church or religion bow to the government; but freedom of religion from government attempting to rule Biblical beliefs and play god.
