WHOOPS: Some Dems Questioning if Voting Rights Bill Might be Racist

Some Democrats are reportedly questioning whether the Democrats’ election reform bill is racist.

According to The Washington Free Beacon:

House Democrats recently approved a massive election reform package that faces an uphill battle in the Senate. As a result, Democrats are under increasing pressure from activists to abolish the 60-vote threshold to end the Senate filibuster in order to cram the legislation through.

Doing so, however, would require unified Democratic support for the House bill. A New York Times report published Tuesday suggests some Democrats are having second thoughts about the legislation many lauded as a transformational achievement, part of a “modern-day civil rights battle that the party cannot afford to lose.”

Sen. Joe Manchin (D., W.Va.) opposes the bill, known as the For The People Act, in its existing form. But he is not the only Democrat expressing reservations, even if he’s the only one willing to do so on the record. Some black Democrats, for example, are concerned the bill might have racially charged consequences.

The Times reports:

Behind the scenes, two election lawyers close to the White House and congressional Democrats said Mr. Manchin was not the only one on their side with reservations about the measure. They insisted on anonymity to discuss the concerns because few Democrats want to concede that there are cracks in the coalition backing the measure or incur the wrath of the legion of liberal advocacy groups that have made its enactment their top priority.

Black House members, for instance, are deeply uneasy over the bill’s shift to independent redistricting commissions, which they fear could cost them seats if majority-minority districts are broken up, particularly in the South. Before the bill passed the House, its authors spent significant time reassuring members of the Congressional Black Caucus that there were adequate protections in place to preserve their districts. But a prominent committee chairman, Representative Bennie Thompson of Mississippi, remained so concerned that he voted against the bill, despite having sponsored it.

The bill could ensure Democrat victory for decades if passed in the Senate.

This legislation is the Federal Government’s attempt by overreach nullify the constitutional authority of the state legislature’s right to govern elections.

I have to disagree Robin. Democrats didn’t just become. They’ve ALWAYS been Racists, Fascists and Marxists. The founders of the KKK and the party of segregation! The only thing that’s changed between then and now is the color.

Remember, you all, once Socialism takes hold there is no coming back without a revolution. The Communists have succeeded in getting this close. Now it can be seen. Its your children’s America you are throwing away. I survived WWII and saw it all. I am too old to worry. Now its your turn. God Bless America.

We were founded to be a republic. That meant small government – big on self reliance. Government has been giving themselves more and more power over the people for generations. They are power hungry parasites. Who said they could give themselves raises? Who agreed to their full paychecks after leaving office? Who gave them all those perks they so enjoy. Who decided that instead of being a “duty to the country” that politics became a career instead of doing your duty and going back to work. This country was meant to be for the people, by the people; not the people slaves to government. They are all greedy – time to take back the country and go back to our roots. Time to stop coddling our kids so they turn out to be snowflakes instead of responsible adults. Government is not your relative – government doesn’t owe you a living or your heart’s desire. You want something you go out and earn it. People used to save up for things they wanted – no credit; no instant satisfaction. But, government began using debt, so people did too. We followed our leaders and now look at the debt the government owes as well as the average person. To make matters worse, it seems our government seems to think we owe support to anyone who is within our borders, legally or not. Anyone else wonder why we are giving out foreign aid when we ourselves are in debt? Does it make any sense for us to borrow money to give away? I think not.

Ginger Firestone you are correct.The Government is being Sugar Daddys to those not wanting to carry their own load and being contributing members of Society. I find when you make contact today they don’t have pride in their work, make all kinds of mistakes and don’t give a toot about correcting them and seemingly don’t care. Something needs to change. The current admin.has that same attitude, let someone else clean up the mess, so on and on we go

I totally agree with all of your points and would like to offer a solution comprising the following;
1) Instead of SO-CALLED “elections”, DRAFT people straight out of the lay public, by draft lottery;
2) Once a candidate is TENTATIVELY drafted, VET the living Hell out of him to assure that he meets all eligibility requirements and is not a member of any subversive organizations; if he fails, SEND HIM HOME AND DRAFT ANOTHER;
3) Once an acceptable candidate is DRAFTED, install him into office for a SINGLE, ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME stint in government;
4) As for his PAY, pay him exactly what he got paid in his last REAL job for the entirety of his SINGLE TERM (because as we all well know, INDUSTRY is a vastly better judge of a person’s WORTH than government is);
5) The very first time he gets caught with his hand in the cookie jar, censure him and go immediately to Step 1) to REPLACE HIM.
.
This process would BREAK the stranglehold that the Globalist CABAL currently holds over our electoral system, and it would go a long way toward taking the MONEY out of politics. The very BEST part is that it would cause the IMMEDIATE EXTINCTION of the CAREER POLLUTE-t i c i a n!

Tha Constitution clearly states that total responsibility for making voting laws are given the the legislatures of the separate states. Assuming that every Congressmen in the House has read and understands the Constitution, then those who passed voted for it are guilty of sedition and must be charged and tried. The same goes for any member of the Senate that even allows the unconstitutional law to be voted on. This is serious business and open sedition in Congress can not be denied. While ideas that representatives have to current voting laws in the states can be discussed no matter how reduculous their point may be, they are not protected against sedition when they knowingly pass unconstitutional legislation. There should be no further discussion on the illegal bill passed by the House and in good conscience it must be dropped or the supporters brought to justice. Ignorance of the law is no excuse and ignorance of the Constitution, the Chief Law of the Country is no excuse either!!

Your point about the assumptions is well taken. Since it is apparently true that most POLLUTE-t I c I a n s don’t know SQUAT about the Constitution (or even WORSE, are HOSTILE toward it), I propose that after being elected to office, a candidate must attend at least four weeks of Constitution classes and pass a written exam on the subject before taking his elected position and beginning to receive pay. He may have the classes waived IF he can pass the test without them. Should he fail the exam before classes, he may then elect to take the classes; however, anyone who fails the exam after the classes is OUT and disqualified from running again.

If future voting districts are chosen non-politically, of course, Democrats will lose seats. Many districts are currently chosen to ensure minority representation when minority populations in those areas are generally low.

Democrats don’t care about racism or being racist, so long as what they say and do can be verbalized as being racially equalizing. Their only concern, THE only concern is political power, so they can control where all the tax money goes (which friends they wan to enrich). Americans who vote Democrat must have clobber for brains.

The Democrat Crime Organization is doing everything they can to legitimize them stealing elections. They are a massive crime organization posing as a political party. Just look at their history of legislation. They have never done a single thing constructive or productive for the nation or it’s citizens. their legislation is nothing but money laundering scams using our punitive tax system to extort the living wages of working Americans.

Driving is legally classified as a privilege, while voting is a sacred right (only for NON-FELON CITIZENS). How then does it follow that one needs to be much less diligent with his voting credentials than in obtaining a driver’s license??????????????
