Black Lives Matter Gets New Support: From the Industry it Hurts Most?
Insurance companies are now backing the Black Lives Matter movement, a movement whose destruction has caused great detriment to the insurance industry.
According to The Washington Free Beacon:
Following the death of George Floyd, the world’s largest insurance companies spoke up in favor of Black Lives Matter. Even as they were paying out unprecedented claims due to the destruction caused by Black Lives Matter protesters and those seizing their mantle, the companies issued statements and coughed up donations to support the movement.

Those losses are now in danger of affecting employees’ pay, industry insiders said, but not their employers’ stance: As of February 18, Chubb was planning a panel with Black Lives Matter whose promotional materials included a pro-Black Panther documentary and an enjoinder to “stay woke,” according to emails reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon.
For insiders who have seen up close the costs of the riots, the move is unsettling. “It’s just one of many examples of corporate virtue-signaling,” one Chubb employee told the Free Beacon. “It certainly doesn’t represent the opinions and values of most people who work in the company. We’re not Google or Facebook.”
The insurance industry is not unique among corporate America: Walmart, Target, and other stalwarts of “woke capital” have issued statements indicating their support for the protests while their stores were ransacked by rioters. Because those companies had insurance, however, they didn’t have to pay for the looting. Their insurers did.
Apparently, PR is worth more than the cost property damage creates.

Nice, the woke insurance companies will be raising our rates to cover their loses due to their PC. Insurance is a racket. They know the odds of having to pay out and they are in their favor. They do everything to to get you to pay high rates and then when you have a claim they do anything to NOT pay it. My shop had skunks tear up insulation, skylight broken due to hail. Electric transformer exploded next to building. But NONE of it was above my deductible so they wouldn’t cover any of it. But they kept raising my deductible and my rate every year. When it hit $5K deductible and $8K premium I told them to drop it. They sent me notices and BS letters for a year trying to scare me into renewing it. They kept claim asking “What if something happens like a tornado” Good chance I will be in it and dead so it won’t matter. I took my money to repair and upgrade buildings instead of giving it to insurance companies for “WHAT IF” situations. I drive older cars so all I have is minimum insurance. Insurance company gave me 30 days to replace house roof and then dropped my insurance, wanted me to install a lot of extra features to help prevent wind damage so they wouldn’t have to pay for it. It’s a racket just like Las Vegas. Your betting you will have a problem and they know the odds of you NOT. So they make rules in their favor at every turn to protect them.
It’s the lefts version of spread the wealth. So shop your rates if they go up. See if there is an insurance company that is not WOKE!

Many of the destroyed business owner found out that under the “TERMS” of their policy CONDITIONS that they were WAY UNDER INSURED. The insurance companies skated again leaving them holding the bag. I found that agreed valve works better on some stuff because no mater what age something is the price is the same. Every thing goes down in value with time and condition. Even with replacement value you may not be able to replace something with one as good as you had if you can find one. I find at every turn there is a catch in insurance company’s favor. New Mexico mandated auto insurance for everybody, but the illegals drive everywhere with none. Been hit twice and
first thing they say if they don’t run is “No speak English in Spanish or no insurance.” What a joke. Where can I buy an Armored Personal Carrier to drive.
