One of Joe Biden’s top picks for his cabinet defended unconstitutional restrictions on religion.

The Supreme Court on Friday struck down unconstitutional coronavirus restrictions that Biden cabinet nominee Xavier Becerra defended as California attorney general.
AdvertisementBecerra, President Biden’s pick to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, enforced California’s restrictions on economic and religious activity throughout the coronavirus pandemic and defended the ban on indoor in-person religious worship in the state.
The Supreme Court rejected these restrictions and sided with two California churches challenging California’s lockdown in a decision late last week. Senate Republicans said that Becerra’s enforcement of the COVID restrictions will be an issue during his confirmation.
“For nearly a year, we have seen state and local governments shut down houses of worship while they let bars, gyms and other indoor facilities operate,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R., Fla.) said. “The Biden administration and HHS nominee Xavier Becerra should make clear they now understand this type of discrimination against houses of worship is clearly unconstitutional.”
Senators have said that Becerra needs to be held accountable for his role in lockdown measures.

This nation was founded on religion. As a matter of fact the nation was founded on Christianity, God and religious freedoms. The Amendments also were accepted as the Constitution was changed and Amended to protect anyone’s religious beliefs no matter what, so long as those beliefs do not interfere with someone elses belief or practices of prayer. As it is part of the Constitution the only way to change it is through another Amendment only and accepted and approved by 75% of the citizens and in addition, 75% of the U.S. states. The Congress and the gov’t and the executive branch and the Supreme Court have no authority to over rule nor change the Constitution by any decree or executive order or law passed by the Congress nor XO by a President or an interpretation by the SCOTUS. It must be changed and approved by the citizens only and the States. And no authority may bypass or violate the Constitution without a change by the citizens and approval by the States, 75% of them each. In recent times certain administrations have violated the Constitution, bypassed and misinterpreted the Constitution and violated its laws and the laws of the land, from violations of voting rights of non citizens to involvement in world wars and other country domestic affairs to violations of our laws and domestic violance, violations of protection of a Constitutional Republic, violations of immigration laws, violation of freedoms of speech, violation of citizens right to bear arms, violations of citizen’s rights to be secure in their possessions without searxh and seizure and so many other aspects of the Constitution. It is believed to be the authority of the SCOTUS to determine if the gov’t or any branch of the gov’t is in violation of the Constitution but as of late it seems they have forgotten their authority and place in the Nations operation.
