GOP Voters Wants Legislators to be ‘More Like President Trump’

A new survey shows that GOP voters want GOP legislators to “be more like President Trump.”

According to Town Hall:

The party has changed. We all saw this in 2016. Four years later, the transformation is complete. President Donald J. Trump is the Republican Party. Those on the Hill unwilling to fight could see themselves out of a job soon. Well, maybe not all, there are annoying folks, like Mitt Romney, who will probably represent their states for life given the demographics, but the Olympia Snowe’s of the GOP are either being primaried out or forced out. The party is more populist. It’s bluer collar. And to the liberal media’s chagrin—actually is more diverse. Trump gained among non-white voter blocs and nearly doubled his share of the LGBT vote. He did suffer marginal losses with white working-class voters in the Midwest, but those voters can and will probably come back once Joe Biden screws up the economy. Yet, we’re not here to discuss the 2020 election. This is about the future of the GOP. Nearly 75 percent of Republican Party members are quite clear regarding what they want to see the GOP become in the future. Three words describe the trend: more like Trump (via Breitbart):

Three of four GOP supporters want their legislators to “be more like President [Donald] Trump” in 2021, according to a Rasmussen survey of likely voters.

The poll asked: “As the Republican Party reorganizes itself next year, should it be more like President Trump or more like the average GOP member of Congress?”

Republicans picked the “more like President Trump” option by 72 percent to 24 percent, while conservatives split 67 percent to 28 percent.

The survey also indicated that 72% of voters want to see the party continue on a more “Trumpian” track.

Well, if the people vote for rinos like Romney and McConnell there will be no change. Most of the rinos just go along satisfied to be last to win anything. They are part of the establishment though they still have to bother with the pesky voters at reelection time. And like has been done to Trump they run the good ones off or get the cheater machines to rig elections in their favor. This appears to have been fake for a long time. I recognized it in 2016 with McCain. He should not have won the senate that year nor Sin in 2018 and likely Gabbys man this election 2020. Choices are going back to worse or worser like it was before Trump and your vote does NOT count anymore. Establishment is back in charge. We are just a big banana republic.

It takes everyone! Like to see more like Christ and party lines are of no factor. Last three comments were suppressed because they carried weight. Bow to the idols. Duh…

I would love to see this page up on Parler since I deactivated both my Facebook and Twitter accounts. I am on Parler only because Facebook was such a traitor in this election.

We are fighting the results of our not paying attention, “watchful attention” to what those we “elected” were doing after their win. The founding fathers EXPECT us to be involved, after all, they signed their lives away, by standing proud, for the Declaration of Independence, and The Constitution, in the fight against an empire! Even if those elected are not whom we want, WE, THE PEOPLE, still have sway, but we have to be involved. Take a class at Patriot Academy, look for resources at wall builders dot com. Read, study and learn these documents, and the principles behind them, that our NATION was built upon. Then teach and defend your rights, because you will know and understand them…. Amen
All praise be to GOD! For HE was the force that bound this together. GOD GIVEN RIGHTS!

It’s been time for a change since the early 90s when we dumped the DC establishment politicians in the 80s for refusing to support Reagan.
In the 90s these ‘new’ politicians mostly decided to join the DC corrupt in stealing from the till.
It’s time for a new rebuke. Punishment for their crimes.

I’ve been voting since 18 years old. Never voted for anyone but Republicans and never will. The Democrats have gone as far left as they could. How can they sleep at night is a mystery to me. There must not be a Christian in the group.I don’t know how all the republicans cannot back Trump.

I for one am changing my party affiliation back to that of INDEPENDENT. I want NOTHING to do with the likes of Romney, McConnell or any of the other back stabbing RINO/Republicans!

The only reason I registered as Rep was so that I could vote in the primaries . . . of little use or interest now.

I have been a life long Republican, like my father before me. I am so disappointed in what has been going on. Trump and all his arrogance lost the election. It is his fault that he lost the election. He did not know when he should have shut his big mouth.
