Senate GOP Reveal Proposal to Reform the Police

Senate GOP members revealed their plan to reform the police on Wednesday.

According to The Hill:

The bill comes amid growing signs of urgency from within the Senate GOP caucus to respond to weeks of calls for reforms sparked by the death of George Floyd, who was killed while detained by Minneapolis police.

“We find ourselves at a place with a package that I think speaks to the families that I spoke with yesterday that lost loved ones, we hear you. I think this package speaks very clearly to the young person who is concerned when he’s stopped by the law enforcement officers, we see you,” said Scott, one of three African Americans in the Senate and the only Republican.

Scott said the bill focuses on three areas: data collection, training and officer misconduct and transparency.

In language that largely lines up with President Trump‘s executive order, the bill would block state and local law enforcement departments from getting COPS and Byrne grants if they do not have a ban on chokeholds in place.

Democrats are also working on a bill of their own which would address qualified immunity, a legal doctrine that absolves public officials of liability, while the GOP bill did not tackle that.

There’s where the reformation needs to be. The idiot rioters who don’t appreciate the country they are living in. Send them all the way to military boot camp, give them rifles and send them to some hell hole over seas. Let them see how the rest of the world lives.

It’s not your government that’s the problem it’s the demon-rat left led group that’s the problem.

30% of the population and 75% of the crime, why wouldn’t they be suspect if they act suspiciously ? The Demoncraps imported the blacks to work their plantations, the Demoncraps started a war so they could keep their slaves, the Demoncraps created the KKK to punish any black who got out of line, the Demoncraps stood on the steps of schools and prevented black kids from getting a better education, the Demoncraps desamated the black family with well fare, the Demoncraps didn’t want hem to be educated because they knew that they would smarten up and stop voting for them, The Demoncraps support abortion in mostly black neighborhoods to thin them out, The Demoncraps are importing a new batch of voters to take the place of the blacks, the hispanic voter. And who put a stop to Charter Schools in DC when he took office, the first black president, Obama !

What about all the black on black crime? Where is BLM on that score? What about all the black cops that get beat up, spit on, their cars set fire to?? What about the white people that are shot by black cops?? What about the white kids profiled by black cops?? Yes, that happens too. Racism comes in all colors. UNTIL we stop putting labels on people, nothing will change. Look at all the high profile black people coming out against BLM. BLM has an agenda. You know it and so does every other thinking adult in this nation. They are a money laundering entity and why don’t you investigate that? Money given to them is going to liberal Democratic candidates and organizations. Investigate that. Sick and tired of Conservatives in Congress walking on egg shells every time Maxine Waters opens her mouth yelling “racist!” They throw that word around like candy in a 4th of July parade. Sick of it. WE are not racists. MOST of the people in this country are NOT racists. We all get along working and playing and praying together. Our kids go to school together and play sports together. It’s YOU all that need a come to the table meeting about what is really going on here. It’s all agenda driven. The liberal left agenda. You are letting CNN dictate what you are doing and that is NOT what is good for the country. We have laws on the books. Give law enforcement BACK the power to enforce it. Wake up. This is why we voted for Donald J. Trump. He doesn’t cave to the left’s agenda. He is looking at the Constitution and the rule of law. He honors his promises that we elected him for and keeps his word! Imagine that. What a concept. First politician in my lifetime (I am 70 yrs. old so I have seen a few) that has actually done what he said he would do without YEARS of “studies” and committees. He is for the regular guy and he actually LISTENS to what the people want. Do your job! Follow your oath and stand up for the people that elected you or, come November, you are out of there.

It’s always one sided in favor of the complainers. Like every other time, the powers that be will cave in to the demands of the whiners. Rioters, ANTIFA, BLM, etc, will get a pass, and the hard working Americans will pay for the damages.

Some say it’s time for a real talk. BS! We’ve done that before and the result was in favor of the complainers with an admonition to the rest of us to sit down and shut up because we can never understand what racism feels like. Again BS! We’ve been experiencing it for many decades of minorities receiving favored status to colleges, promotions, etc. Reverse discrimination is real.

The leftists have been working at this since before the McCarthy hearings. If we want to keep our rights and freedoms we’re going to have to take them back from all those who have been duped into thinking that socialism and communism are system that really care about the worker bees.

Well Congress you’d better do something about the thugs who are vandalizing America and hurting (usually white) people, setting buildings on fire etc. They should be held accountable for their actions. This policing may be good for your political vision, but remember there are only 13% blacks in America and the rest of America is made up of voting people…and we deserve your respect too….

Killed is a harsh way to put it. Died while being in police custody is more like it. Other factors led up to the death, drugs, poor choices. Killed sounds like it was intentional. Do not believe that was the case. Chavin and Floyd were the victims of these choices. What a shame, I am truly sorry that their paths crossed that day. The results accomplished nothing more than distrust, racism (on both sides), rioting, looting, murder, the list goes on. What a shame, can’t get people motivated to help with homelessness, hunger, drug use. Millions and millions of dollars go into politics, do you think we might find a better use for it?
