New Trump Rule Limits States From Blocking Pipelines

A new Trump rule in regards to the Clean Water Act limits the power states have to block pipeline projects.
According to The Hill:
The Trump administration gutted a key portion of the Clean Water Act on Monday, limiting states’ ability to block controversial pipeline projects that cross their waterways.
AdvertisementThe final rule from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) targets Section 401 of the law, which lets states halt projects that risk hurting their water quality.
It’s been a target of President Trump, who last April ordered the agency to accelerate and promote the construction of pipelines and other important infrastructure.
“Today, we are following through on President Trump’s Executive Order to curb abuses of the Clean Water Act that have held our nation’s energy infrastructure projects hostage, and to put in place clear guidelines that finally give these projects a path forward,” EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler said in a statement.
Critics have called this an assault on individual state’s rights to regulate their waters including safeguarding the cleanliness of their waters.
More like safeguarding the poverty of their citizens.
Stop destroying out environment, we should riot about this shit
Yep, that’s just what we need, another riot
I agree, let the states stop the pipelines and in doing so, remove their ability to import fuels from other states and allowing them to use their own fuels if they have any. If not, I guess they can go without
