A new poll shows Biden leading President Trump nationally, but Trump leading among independents and swing-state voters.

According to The Daily Caller:

New polling figures released Wednesday by CNN show former Vice President Joe Biden holding a slight general election advantage over President Donald Trump, but gave Trump leads in both battleground states and with independent voters.

The poll, the first released by CNN since before the White House issued its coronavirus social distancing guidelines in March, showed 51 percent of respondents saying they would vote for Biden if the election were held today, compared to 46 percent from Trump. Biden’s marks fell 2 points since the March poll, while Trump rose by 4 points.

CNN noted that party-affiliated support was even, with 95 percent of self-identifying Democrats and Republicans responding they would vote for their respective party’s candidate. With Independents, however, Trump leads Biden 50 percent to 46 percent.

Trump also leads Biden by 7 points in battleground states, where independents favored the current present by 25 percent.

Trump’s team countered by stating that polling regularly understates President Trump’s standing among Americans.

Just wait until Trump takes on Biden in a debate….it will be hysterical but a little sad to see Biden crumble

Be wary of the power of low expectations and its corollary the weight of high expectations!
For very much of the primary season leading up to the 2016 election, Trump was caught
saying some really outrageous stuff. I remember because I threw it up at him as I did not
trust his past affiliations which were suspect at best. Now he has a record and has adapted
well to the job and impressed doubters like me. He still has his big mouth and a twitter account
that can be used against him by a media that will never give him credit for anything. Couple
this with the advantages the Democrats have in the electoral college, Trump must not lose any
red State or not lose more than one or two of the Purple States to assure his re-election. It’s
not going to be easy, and overconfidence….well, you see where that got Hillary!

Stop taking polls on nationwide popular vote preferences. They mean nothing! We don’t elect presidents that way. We elect state by state. The battleground states are where this election will be won or lost.

We all need to remember how biased and wrong all these polls were in 2016. Supposedly at that time Trump didn’t stand a chance of being elected! DO NOT BELIEVE THESE POLLS! This is why the democrats are so desperate and know they don’t have a chance in 2020 unless they can bring our President down. Biden is a joke, if this is the best they can do is put someone forward who obviously has some form of dementia! If by chance Biden was to get elected (think mail-in voter fraud) then he will either be a puppet for the democrat party and they will run the government or they will announce he is not fit and the vice president whom they will select before the election will take over!

No polls are accurate these days because the left-wing pollsters always over-sample left-wing voters, while potential Trump voters are consistently under-sampled because they are always busy at their jobs and do not respond. I’d say the differential is about 10% in favor of left-wing candidates in every poll, now including FOX News because Paul Ryan was put on the Board to add left-wing bias.
