DeVos Issues New Sexual Misconduct Rule Strengthening Due Process

Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos has issued new sexual misconduct rules that will restore due process back to higher education after it was all but eliminated by the Obama administration.

According to The Hill:

On Wednesday Education Secretary Betsy DeVos issued final rules on how all schools will address allegations of sexual misconduct, securing new protections for students and faculty accused of misconduct.

The new rules modify Title IX, a 1972 law prohibiting “discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities that receive Federal financial assistance,” narrowing the definition of sexual harassment and requiring schools to challenge evidence and cross-examine students via a live hearing, among other things detailed in the more than 2,000-page rule.

The new regulations, which take effect in August, will only find schools in violation of Title IX if they are determined to be “deliberately indifferent” to accusations of sexual assault that occurred in their programs and activities.

“Too many students have lost access to their education because their school inadequately responded when a student filed a complaint of sexual harassment or sexual assault,” DeVos said in a statemnet. “This new regulation requires schools to act in meaningful ways to support survivors of sexual misconduct, without sacrificing important safeguards to ensure a fair and transparent process. We can and must continue to fight sexual misconduct in our nation’s schools, and this rule makes certain that fight continues.”

President Trump noted that this would be an “even-handed” process with a renewed focus on innocent until proven guilty.

Can we help President Trump overturn one more of obama’s blunders? Obama said he was going to kill the coal industry. He did a lot of damage, but it is still somewhat alive.
President Trump can come out and tell the coal industry he now has a Clean Coal Solution that will have coal fired power plants emitting less CO2 than a natural gas fired power plant, affordably!!
The President want to put American’s back to work. Lets put America’s coal miners back to work producing clean coal electricity. It will be so awesome to see these communities rebuild and be prosperous again. It needs him to make it happen.

The School Systems around the nation really need this. May I also add, to protect the children from bad influence, is to ‘stop’ the transgenders from coming in for story time. I have seen some horrific things that would even embarrass me as an adult.
Children are children, and the story time is for their teacher to teach the children how to read, not for trannies to sit in dresses, and somewhat spread-eagle, with tiny kids gawking. It’s sick and depraved. So, yeah….more needs to be done. As a respectable Grandmother, I ask.

In the first place why are rape or sex cases decided by a college and universities. If you are raped in a building owned by a company or a church or in a hotel or wherever, it is a rape crime that goes to the police and to the law. It is not handled by the company as a law system or a hotel as a law system. It is treated as a rape crime and goes through the police to the court system. Since when is a college or university a law system that can investigate and try a rape or any other crime. That is not the proper law system in this country. Even if it is a law college it still is a rape that is illegal according to a state law system. This is an illegal law system controlling people’s lives that they have no business doing. Their business is an educational business with the job of teaching not a state law system. Why are any states giving these colleges and universities this right that is not given in the Constitution or any state constitution as far as I know. It is illegal. These crimes belong in the judicial system of the state where the crime happened. Perhaps victims should start suing states or the institution where the rape happened. Better yet, call 911 and say “I have just been raped, send the police and give them the damn address.” If the institution doesn’t let the police in, baby, you got a law suit and these institutions have plenty of money to give you.

How about firing this globalist who has always been for common core and a one world government. This issue solves only one bad issue! The Unconstitutional Dept of Ed should be dissolved. The right to decide and write curriculum should be returned to the local level, PERIOD!!

Why doesn’t DeVos issue new guidelines to stop socialism from being taught to our youth in the classrooms?
