President Trump Confirms Romney Intentionally Left off of Task Force
President Trump has confirmed that he intentionally left Senator Mitt Romney off of the bipartisan coronavirus task force. This is likely confirmation that Trump continues to hold a grudge against Romney for his vote to remove President Trump from office.
According to The Hill:
President Trump on Sunday said he intentionally left Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) off his congressional task force on reopening the U.S. economy amid the coronavirus, acknowledging it shows he still holds a grudge over the senator’s impeachment vote.
AdvertisementThe president included every Republican senator on the task force except Romney, who voted to convict Trump for abuse of power. Asked if his exclusion shows he’s still holding a grudge, Trump said, “Yeah, it does.”
“I’m not a fan of Mitt Romney,” Trump said, adding, “I don’t really want his advice.”
“Yeah it does,” Trump says when asked if he still holds a grudge against Mitt Romney after he was the only GOP senator excluded from congressional task force for reopening America.

The White House on Thursday released the members of its “Opening Up America Again Congressional Group.” The list included nearly 70 senators, including all 52 of Romney’s GOP colleagues in the chamber.

My question would be why have a Rhino or better traitor to his party like Mitt Romney on any task force or committee. He has shown us he cannot be trusted or given any leadership roles. Trump knows that and so should most Americans. He needs to switch parties and become a Democrat if he does not support his own party and their views.
Just to make clear Mitt Romney started the ongoing feud between Trump and himself. It is alright to have a different view or opinion but he should still support his party when it comes to an action like impeachment of the POTUS.
