President Trump Looking to Africa to Target Iran
President Trump is taking a non-traditional approach to counter Iran by looking to Africa, according to reports.
According to The Hill:
The Trump administration is turning toward Africa in an effort to bolster its alliance against Iran.
AdvertisementThe U.S. is looking to Sudan and Morocco as key partners in the effort to counter Tehran, part of a larger American and Middle East alliance led by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia.
And the administration is offering key incentives for the two African countries to soften relations with Israel to strengthen the alliance.
For Sudan, a groundbreaking public meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Feb. 3 was seen as its signal to the U.S. that it’s committed to deepening relations with Washington and shedding its status as a state sponsor of terrorism.
The Trump admin is considering recognizing disputed territory by Morocco as their in exchange for Morocco opening up relations with Israel.

UAE and Saudi? Wow…well, it’s a very complicated proposition, and holds a suspicious and somewhat ‘Contrived’ deal. Meaning, a rather ‘slap-shot’ set-up to work for just the ends of other countries, who may ‘not’ have the U.S. interest at heart.
But I’m not a negotiator. I would certainly take a greater amount of time, and not put it together just for the sake of getting it done. Absolute Certainty is a MUST. I somewhat trust Israel, but not necessarily Nutty Yahoo. 🙂 Just like I don’t trust the Saudis.

Oy Veh! Trump is full of surprises these days. When you think about it, all the countries in the middle east that border on Iran are already fixed in their political orbits, so the only place to go is outside the current ballpark. Sudan is struggling with an intractable internal civil war, and if Trump can do in Sudan what Clinton did for Ireland my hat is off to him! As for Morocco, theirs is a relatively old and stable Kingdom, and is far from the battlefields in Iran/Iraq. It could serve as an airbase if relations with Turkey get too FUBAR.
