GOP Predicts Bipartisan Acquittal in Senate

GOP leadership has predicted that President Trump will be acquitted on a bipartisan basis when his trial concluded in the Senate.

According to The Hill:

Republicans are becoming increasingly confident they’ll be able to hand President Trump a bipartisan acquittal in his Senate impeachment trial.

With 67 votes needed to convict the president and remove him from office, and the outcome of a Senate trial all but guaranteed, GOP senators are broadening their sights as they plot their strategy.

Senate Republicans think they’ll be able to pick up one or two Democrats on the final votes for each impeachment article. That would let them tout Trump’s acquittal as bipartisan — an angle they’ve already seized on when talking about the two House votes, in which a handful of Democrats crossed the aisle to join Republicans in opposing impeachment.

Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.) declined to say who he thinks will flip, arguing he didn’t want to put pressure on them.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has also predicted that he does not believe any GOP Senators will vote to remove President Trump.

Seems to me any congressperson who does not vote for President Trump’s acquittal is voting for the end of their political career!

Nothing is going to happen, Polosi knows it was a farce to begin with, there was never a whistle blower to begin with. They can’t produce what they don’t have.this is just another Russia Gate with no teeth. The all lie like rugs, it is no wonder the country is so corrupt. Starting with the teachers in the schools and colleges of the United States. Look how the people got accepted in these schools, they paid for their children to get in. Money talks and bull crap walks. these teachers are the same as the politicians who have ruined this great country.

Eugene, you correctly identify the genesis of the socialist / millennial generation who are brain washed by these teachers into believing communism is the better choice. This in turn has spawned extremist bartenders to run for congress and to move the dialog to the extreme left. And this is the genesis of the political polarization we Americans now enjoy.

It’s time for the Republicans to start impeachment processes on Nancy Pelosi, Adam Shiff, Jerold Nadler, Al Green, Waters, Tlaib, Aoc, and Omar. Get the Democrats where it hurts them the most! This affor mentioned idiots deserve all of it. They have committed many crimes and gone against the Constitution and must be removed immediately. I hope they spend the rest of their lives in prison or by lethal injection. There is, plain and simply, no other way to look at all of this!

nervous nancy is also saying that they are starting another impeachment believing that president trump’s favorite color is unconstitutional and went onto say this one should work.

Lisa Murkowski was always a jerk, just ask Sarah Palin. Susan Collins used to be astute enough to spot this impeachment for the fraudulent farce that it is, and principled enough to vote for acquittal without a moment’s thought. Can it be that Soros has bought her, too?
