White House Close to Agreement With Dems on New Trade Deal

President Trump Signs the NDAA

The White House appears to be moving closer to reaching an agreement with Democrats on ratifying the USMCA which appears to have been finalized between the United States, Mexico, and Canada on Monday.

According to The Hill:

The White House and House Democrats are on the verge of a new North American trade deal in what would give President Trump a signature legislative victory.
The Washington Post reported Monday that AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka said the two sides had come to a deal and that the labor union was reviewing it.
Trump announced the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) more than a year ago. Negotiations with House Democrats have been ongoing ever since, with Democratic leaders pushing for stronger labor and environmental regulations.
A deal on the USMCA would come at a time when House Democrats are moving to impeach Trump and would also benefit Democrats by helping the party argue it is legislating even as impeachment moves forward.
Pelosi has been quick to point out the ability of the Democrats to keep impeachment separate from important legislation. It is unclear if she means it and it appears a little odd that she would let a President she has claimed is threatening our republic to sign the legislation into law.

Pelosi & pals absolutely cannot be trusted. They’re proven shysters and charlatans. I’ll never believe anything from the other side again.

It’s the time when I’ve lost all trust for the Dems, no matter what they spew. I trust our President, period, end of story.
