AOC Responds to Trump Criticism by Making False Claim

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responded to criticism of Congress from President Trump by making a claim that was patently false.

According to The Washington Free Beacon:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) falsely claimed that her work in Congress fast-tracked the arrival of life-saving HIV drugs to the market, taking credit for a corporate decision made four years before she was elected to Congress.

Responding to President Trump’s criticism of House Democrats, the progressive congresswoman fabricated a personal achievement by claiming that she “took on Big Pharma” with “colleagues in hearings that brought PrEP generic a year early” in a tweet last week.

In fact, Gilead, the pharmaceutical company behind PrEP—a medication that can reduce the transmission risk of HIV by 99 percent—had reached an agreement back in 2014 to allow a generic version of the drug to come to market a year early. The company disclosed that agreement weeks before its CEO, Daniel O’Day, appeared before Congress in May.

Although Ocasio-Cortez asserted in her tweet that Trump has spent three years jailing kids and making corruption “the cause celebré,” the White House has taken steps toward broadening access to HIV medication. The administration announced on Tuesday that it will provide HIV prevention drugs free-of-charge to all uninsured people as part of its plan to reduce new HIV transmission by 90 percent over the next 10 years.

AOC continues to get caught in lies but it remains unclear if her constituents will hold her accountable.

I hope the person running against her is taking notes on all of her lies and trouble that she has caused the people of her district. They need to get this information out to keep her from being reelected.

I can’t even comment on this, my doctor has ordered me to not even go on websites like this because it’s elevating my blood pressure. As much as I don’t approve of anything the or say I cannot continue to comment on this stuff.

What on earth is wrong with those people who elected this nitwit? Are they all simply idiots who know nothing about anything? If they re-elect AOC it proves they don’t care.

Whatever happened to our civilization that we are unable to determine right from wrong, or truth from lies, or voting for those who can make our country better rather than destroying it. This is the case of electing people like AOC.

How could any decent, honest person vote for this lying young woman? She seems to be doing nothing but help divide our Country. She hates AMERICA, it’s Citizens, our Constitution, our Military, and our laws. She destroyed work for her own district. So, why would anyone vote for this nutcase?

Miss Cortez, take my comment any way you desire but as one of the veterans who assisted in drafting a document tiled; Citizens Emergency Constitutional Ordinance (CECO) I submit you are a very fortunate young politician. Had the President accepted a veterans’ group’s offer to raise a unit of various individuals skilled in the various disciplines required to assist him in cleaning the swamp and installing a lean mean government with its principal objective being to serve and protect the American people, politicians/bureaucrats who fail to communicate in any manner short of absolute candor would find themselves in violation of their oath of office and subject to both criminal and civil penalties. You see the CECO provides among its many measures designed to clean up the swamp is an oath of office for all elected, appointed, and contracted government personnel that includes severe penalties for the violation of being less than candid in one’s communications. Miss Cortez, I suggest that you need to consider; 1). Stop making unscripted comments, 2). Start preparing manuscripts with the assistance of persons with the ability to insure the information is factual, and 3). Never make comments or address individual or groups of combat soldiers and/or marines in that I can validate from personal experience two facts reference the consequences for being less than candid with such persons. First, as an army officer and civilian police chief I relieved/fired nine subordinate officers during my soldier and cop careers. I did not fire any of these men for making mistakes nor for out and out failures. I fired all nine for the same reason. Each of them were fired for what combat soldiers and marines consider an unforgivable sin. That sin is, failure to be candid in all communications! Second, would you like to know the principal reason (as determined by testimony of the offenders) officers in military units engaged in combat during the Vietnam War were are assaulted/killed by their subordinates? The reason they gave was, the leader lied to them! Something to think about, Huh? Soldier/Cop/Grunt, Retired
