Bolton Will not Testify Voluntarily

In a new twist, former National Security Adviser John Bolton will not voluntarily testify to Congress.

According to The Hill:

Former national security adviser John Bolton will not appear voluntarily to testify in connection with the House impeachment inquiry into President Trump’s dealings with Ukraine.

Bolton’s attorney Chuck Cooper told The Hill in an email late Wednesday that Bolton would not appear voluntarily and would need to be subpoenaed.

House Democrats have issued subpoenas to several witnesses in order to compel their testimony amid efforts by the White House to prevent their appearance. The White House has refused to cooperate with the impeachment inquiry, describing it as illegitimate and an attempt to overturn the results of the 2016 presidential election.

House investigators on Wednesday invited Bolton, who was dramatically ousted as Trump’s third national security adviser in September, to testify at a deposition on Nov. 7, next week.

The House has now formally voted to lay out the rules for the impeachment inquiry and they will surely try to subpoena Bolton when the time comes.

Will this liberal insanity never end? The House has done absolutely nothing whatsoever since they took over but try to get rid of our President! Why the hell are they drawing any salary at all when they do nothing at all!

We failed America and ourselves in the 2018 midterm elections. We gave them the majority knowing this was going to happen. We just wouldn’t go to the voting booth in the numbers needed.

I hope this whole nonsense has awakened a few Democrats to the fact that the party using the name is NOT the Democratic Party we knew under Truman. We just spent how many millions on a group to investigate Trump and Mueller had nothing!!! What we did was just pay off a bunch of worthy FORMER DEMOCRATS. There is nothing to go after our current president about. We elected him. Let him be elected or defeated like all the other Presidents. Relax you Socialists…..

True, but he is a war hawk and was furious with PRESIDENT Trump for removal of boots from Syria. Some people need to come into the 21st century where our technology can be more accurate and our treasures protected. Nominee Trump ran on removing our soldiers…promises made; promises kept.

Bolton was far superior to GW Bush as a thinker and a strategist, but Trump has Bolton outclassed coming and going. I think Bolton at least has the good sense not to be a petulant whiner after Trump fired him, and will do his bit to make life difficult for the Dems.

I agree with you on most of your post. However, I’ve never liked Bolton because he has this mindset that he’s always right. When he is not getting ‘his way’, he is a petulant child….he has always acted this way. I think he will, if summoned, make his statements more like innuendos which will cause a lot of problems.

I f you want democrat socialism and socialized medicine, do like Canada – move to Canada, take a ticket, and be prepared to stand in line for months for medical services. On top of that, pay their extreme interest rates and housing costs. DO NOT come back to the US in a wheelchair as we will probably be in the same boat – that is why so many Snowbirds come to the US every winter – to get their knees, shoulders, and what ails them taken care of. Evidently, we have great medical here and do not appreciate it as we have not had to experience BAD medicine in general. Or 23% interest on already inflated real estate . . . or extreme cold . . . or higher taxes . . . . . . just for a start.

Now if what you say is true then why do so any Americans go to Democratic Socialist Countries for medical care, now at our Vacation home near Rangley, Maine nearly everyone goes to Canada for their medical, dental, eye glasses and prescriptions. Now if it is so bad how come the most trusted organization on health care in the World says that all those countries have better health care than the USA.

Now if Democratic Socialism is so bad how come the majority of the people live better than in the USA and are much happier about their lives.

Now why do so many American go to foreign countries for care in 2017 it was over 1.4 Million.

Did Trump turn this Super-Hawk- NeoCon- Military Industrial Complex Globalist. ‘The Art of the Flip’ should be his next book, did Bolton see the writing on the Wall and is joining the Winning Team

I don’t know what they expect to hear from Bolton. He may have policy problems with
Trump but he is not going to purger himself to get even and perhaps turn the Presidency
over to a Party that would have problems running a Good Humor ice cream truck!

When I was growing up, my family were all Democrats. When I was old enough to think for myself I became an Independent. I will never vote for the party, either one of them. I voted for President Trump because I liked what he said and I wanted him to carry on with his promises that he ran on. Surprise of surprises, he did!!!!!. And he still is, in spite of incredible opposition from the Demoncraps and the RINOS. We as voters and LEGAL American citizens need to open our eyes and ears and use our brains to vote for the best possible person to be our President and to run this country. That person right now is President Trump. Write, text, tweet, call, whatever to all of your Representatives from your state and let them know respectfully that you are watching and taking notes and names of those who are voting to impeach OUR President, and come election time that if they continue along these lines you will do everything that you possible can to get whomever is running AGAINST them, ELECTED.!!!!!

Openly admitting he’d do it under subpoena is openly admitting he’s willing to do so. Such a shallow charade.
