Trump Defends Controversial Syria Move

President Trump has given a strong defense of his decision to pull troops from Syria despite strong backlash from both Democrats and Republicans.

According to The Hill:

President Trump on Wednesday criticized the Kurds, saying they didn’t help the United States during World War II and that they were only fighting for their land in Syria during the battle against ISIS.

“The Kurds are fighting for their land,” Trump told reporters at the White House during an event in the Roosevelt Room.

“And as somebody wrote in a very, very powerful article today, they didn’t help us in the second World War, they didn’t help us with Normandy as an example. They mentioned names of different battles. But they’re there to help us with their land and that’s a different thing.”

Trump did not specify to which article he was referring, but some on Twitter pointed to an article written in TownHall by conservative Kurt Schlichter that included a reference to the Kurds and Normandy.

President Trump has threatened to impose sanctions should Turkey take things too far.

The U.S.A. cannot fight the battles of everyone in the world, and should not try to do so. Unfortunately for the past several years that seems to be what the ‘powers-that-be” in Washington were trying to do. For instance, we had no business being in Vietnam , but there we were, right in the midst of a battle that was not one of our own, but several presidents could not see things clearly enough to determine that we had no business there. The people in the Middle East have been ‘at war’ with one another since time immemorial — Let them have at it! It is not our concern. AND another thing — get out of Afghanistan– we have no business there. The Russians tried it first and they were smart enough to soon see that it was a losing battle, and they got out. BRING OUR BOYS AND GIRLS HOME !

FOR SURE…..BRING OUR BOYS AND GIRLS HOME. TIRED OF SACRIFICING OUR AMERICANS…OTHER COUNTRIES DON’T GET INVOLVED, WHY SHOULD WE! I SAID ON ANOTHER POST, THE POWERS TO BE WERE DOING IT STRICKLY FOR POLITICAL REASONS AND NOT FOR AMERICA. THE ONES WHO ARE OBJECTING….THEY CAN GO AND BE PUT AT THE FRONT LINES. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. DOES ANYONE REALLY THINK THAT THERE ARE COUNTRIES THAT WOULD COME AND HELP US AND SACRIFICE THEIR CITIZENS FOR AMERICA….DONE, NO MORE…FIGHT YOUR OWN WARS AND LET’S STAY OUT OF THEM. Of course if our President decided to keep troops there, they would take the opposite and say that is wrong. So sick of politics.

We had plenty of business in Viet Nam. The communists were forcing their evil system on the South Vietnamese, and the latter begged us for help. President John Kennedy, citing the ‘domino effect’, was sure that if we didn’t stop the commies in Viet Nam, they would take Laos and go from there. The war was being won until the democrats, under LBJ politicized it. You can’t attack this, you can’t bomb that, etc. The leftist fake news media made it sound as though we had lost the Tet Offensive, when in fact we won it overwhelmingly, and documents reveal that the commies were ready to sue for conditional surrender, but then advised their defeated and discouraged troops to wait and watch what the leftist peace movement in the United States would accomplish for them. Once again the leftists in America snatched defeat from the jaws of victory and the Communists held out while the U.S. bailed out. The US split, and the Vietnamese Communists breathed a huge sigh of relief. They were literally on the verge of surrender, until the leftist ‘peacenicks’ gave them their victory – for free. Biggest military boondoggle in US history, masterminded by the American left in collusion with the fake news media. We’ve never been the same since. And millions of Vietnamese civilians were slaughtered both before and after the US entered a war there to save them from communist brutality. All those people and US servicemen dead – because of the leftist communist sympathizers among us and the fake news media. Sound familiar?

Korea happened just 15 years before Vietnam. In that “conflict” we were able to prevent the Communists from taking over South Korea. Look at South Korea today – was it worth it? The same thing could have happened in Vietnam except for the Leftist press in the US.

We cannot AFFORD useless, senseless Tribal Wars. Their’s is about boundaries. It’s obviously about confiscating and Land Grabs. It’s like China buying some land in the U.S..and insisting they own it all. We also need to be careful to whom we sell land, and how many acres.
It is a fact that many, many American’s do not agree with selling our land to foreign interests. It opens us up for boundary wars…if not today…for certain in the future.
So Turkey needs to understand the Kurds need their space, and they should back off, and leave well enough alone.

Syria claims the Kurds and the land they occupy – seems to me Assad has enough military might to take care of Turkey.

One problem with getting involved in the Middle East is the backbone-less UN. This is tribal warfare, and often international laws of warfare are broken. The UN does nothing to stop the warfare and illegal murdering of innocents. UN nations would rather condemn Israel – most likely the only Middle Eastern nation which follows international warfare rules. Turkey is a member of the UN and NATO, and they should be sanctioned heavily by both organizations. But what to we hear? Nothing. The UN should give the Kurds statehood by certifying some of the land they claim as legitimately theirs- which they call Kurdistan. But it’s not the US ‘ job to defend the Kurds against a NATO ally.

How many American life’s have been lost fighting other countries battles? These politicians have no problem sending our son’s and daughter’s into harms way and for what? It’s funny they never send their kids, they have preferential treatment. That whole middle east is not worth even one American life. Let them kill each other over their stupid religion. Our President is just looking out for our people, because he knows the damage these wars do to our military personnel.
