Trump Delays Chinese Tariffs

President Trump has announced that he has delayed the imposition of more tariffs on China as a gesture of goodwill.

According to The Hill:

President Trump said Wednesday that the U.S. will delay an upcoming increase in tariffs on $250 billion worth of goods from China at the request of Beijing, calling it a “gesture of good will.”

Trump tweeted that he would push back tariffs set to go into effect on Oct. 1 to Oct. 15 at the request of Chinese Vice Premier Liu He because the People’s Republic of China will be celebrating its 70th anniversary on Oct. 1.

“At the request of the Vice Premier of China, Liu He, and due to the fact that the People’s Republic of China will be celebrating their 70th Anniversary on October 1st, we have agreed, as a gesture of good will, to move the increased Tariffs on 250 Billion Dollars worth of goods (25% to 30%), from October 1st to October 15th,” Trump wrote in a pair of tweets.

U.S. and Chinese officials, meanwhile, have agreed to meet to continue trade talks next month. Beijing earlier Wednesday said it would lift tariffs on some American-made goods, though the goods did not include agricultural products, like soybeans, sales of which have been severely impacted because of the trade war.

President Trump has also announced that China is likely to increase its purchases of United States agricultural products.

I don’t believe the Chinese are being honest. The U.S. seems to always giving in to China and other countries. President wanted “free trade” between countries. It’s beyond my thought process to understand why anyone would not want free trade!

I have hope this will all work out for everyone’s good in the long run. God Bless Trump for trying to fix things that have been wrong with our trade situation that previous Presidents have either made worse or stood around wringing their hands over. Trump has the guts to at least try. I for one am praying for him.

We all know that the EXPERTS, SMART GUYS, had no conversations with China or Russia in past, except to accept whatever they offered. And USA was financing other countries entirely too much, for no changes. Except for our funds winding up in other countries. He studied and knew what was wrong over all the past years, Now why would he want to become like prior presidents, with administrations that kicked can down road to next administration.

This is why President Trump is considered to be one of the smartest business men on the planet. He knows exactly how to handle the bullies in the business world and this is why we must elect him to 4 more years as president of this great country. Let us all get behind him 1000% and help him defeat the Democratic Communist Party who are trying their best to perpetuate what Obama started during his presidency and that was to destroy our great country. GO TRUMP ! M.Korab

President Trump is running this country like a business and in fact, that is what it is. Unfortunately, under obama’s Socialist Regime, we had very high investments with little to no profit and we the Citizens (Share Holders) were footing the bill and China and others were making a killing. I just saw a news story that stated that most of our medication comes from China. This isn’t just asperin or sinus medication these are real drugs, heart meds, antibiotics and more. Our big pharmaceutical companies are raking in Billions of dollars in profits and as usual we the TaxPayers are stuck with the bill.
