President Trump announced the firing of National Security Adviser John Bolton on Tuesday.

Bolton was quick to point out that he actually offered his resignation on Monday night, which contradicts Trump’s claim.

According to The Hill:

Outgoing national security adviser John Bolton on Tuesday disputed President Trump‘s account of his dismissal, tweeting that he offered to resign before the president announced his ouster.

“I offered to resign last night and President Trump said, ‘Let’s talk about it tomorrow,'” Bolton tweeted.

The Washington Post reporter Robert Costa and other journalists said that Bolton had texted them to make clear that he resigned.

The messages came moments after Trump rocked Washington with a pair of tweets that said he had asked Bolton to step down due to disagreements about policy.

Bolton’s departure comes as reports started to surface of his deteriorating relationship with Trump. Bolton also was at odds with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo who is close to President Trump.

If you will recall, the Dems never liked Bolton and were not happy when Trump hired Bolton. Bolton is one of those neo-Cons who, like John McCain, saw a lot of armed conflicts around the world that they thought America needed to be involved with. I would think the Dems would be happy that Bolton is out but they will still try to make political points none the less with his ouster. While I personally like Bolton, he wasn’t exactly the right fit for the Trump agenda.

Huh? Why would you say that, because he fired John Bolton? Bolton has always been flawed and has an ego bigger than Texas. Not sorry he’s gone.

Now to get rid of FBI Director Chris Wray.

Julliard, what’s your problem? You don’t say what’s got your knickers in a twist but we can guess you’re not a Trump supporter. The president has had to put up with THREE YEARS of daily bashing by jerks that lie and post fake news about him, his children and his wife. He could cure cancer and these anal retards would STIL bash him. Piss off if you can’t support him. You wouldn’t last a day under the reign of crap he’s undergone. Grow up – he kicked their asses 3 years ago and he’ll kick their asses again next November

That’s not a question because it sounds more like a threat. I’m certain the President doesn’t care how it is taken. Bolton isn’t the one who really speaks to the enemy alone, that I know of. That’s Pompeo’s Job. If the President didn’t have Mike, Bolton would have gotten us in an ‘Unseating Leader’s War, quite some time ago. Besides, Bolton is one of those people who can’t keep his hands off of women. I don’t know how his wife stands him. Very sickening person.

What is it with you women.
Just because you don’t approve of someone politically, doesn’t mean it’s ok to throw gender attacks at them.
That last attack with venom was really nasty and disrespectful.
Shall men go back to referring to women as trollups, hookers, whores, if they don’t like the women’s politics?

No, but when he wants something done, it better get done. Otherwise it compares to Congress and nothing gets done. If he could he would kick out every demonrat out of DC, but that’s not his privilege. That we have to do by voting them all out.

You are correct. But we especially need to deal with the rhinos as they begin to reveal their real agendas. There will still be different opinions in congress but the political corruption wll be much more manageable.

A lot of times, John is not wrong.
I hope he doesn’t go too far away.
He knows the crazies we are dealing with but President Trump has the right to have whoever he wants as an adviser. The President seeks to keep us out of wars that do not at all benefit the USA. I respect that but keep John’s telephone number handy. The crazies are still there.

John is a nice man. Sure hate to see someone of his quality go. Perhaps he’ll be back very soon.

Trump is a CEO and not a Politician. The former requires different opinions to be aired and fiercely debated while the latter has appointees with basically the same ideologies and differences are small and passed over. The CEO hears it all and pushes his subordinates hard to defend their views, particularly ones not shared by all, then HE DECIDES. At that point they all accept it and support it. If they can’t, they are gone. Thank God for our CEO/President. The very obvious Swamp had to be drained and it takes a Trump to do it. We were headed to being a “not exceptional Country” (Obamas exact promise during his tour of Apology) headed towards Communism/Socialism. Instead let’s MAGA.

John Bolton never seemed the right ‘fit’ … he sounded too much like a war monger. Why is it that the media jumps all over semantics? What does it matter HOW the ‘letting go’ was done…. what’s done is done. If Bolton offered to resign, he knew that he was not the right ‘fit’. Those who are criticizing wouldn’t last two days in the job of ‘President’.

Mr Bolton has dealt with the reps and leaders on a daily basis as out past UN rep. He call these people what he knows them to be and they stay clear of Bolton. He knows their real number and that is what we need. The president would fo well to keep him close.

Oh for goodness sake! John Bolton, what difference does it make? If it’s true you resigned before he fired you, you only resigned because you were about to be fired and you knew about it.

It’s unfortunate that Bolton is no longer with Trump, whoever made the decision. I had thought that they complimented one another and that they worked well together but their differences were obviously too great!
