Are Democrats Ignoring A Trafficking Ring?
The news, devoid of additional facts, that a US citizen was detained by Border Patrol has caused controversy. As the details emerged from Border Patrol, the story took a dramatic turn. The Daily Wire reports:
Brian Hastings, Chief of Law Enforcement at the U.S. Border Patrol, made a stunning claim on Thursday about the U.S. citizen who was detained by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for three weeks, saying that the individual never claimed to be an American.
Hastings remark came in response to a question from Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) about the detained U.S. citizen, Francisco Erwin Galicia, during a House Judiciary Committee hearing on some of the Trump administration’s policies on the border.
Advertisement“I can give you some preliminary. The individual came through the Falfurrias checkpoint. He came through with the other illegal aliens. The individual claimed to be a Mexican national who was born in Reynosa, Mexico,” Hastings said. “Throughout the process, and while he was with Border Patrol, he claimed to be a citizen of Mexico with no immigration documents to be in or remain in the U.S.”
“Upon further investigation, we also found he had a border crossing card and that border crossing card he had used 53 times to cross the border into the U.S. which gives us further indication that he was not a U.S. citizen,” Hastings continued. “At no time in Border Patrol custody did he say that he was a U.S. citizen.”
The fact that a US citizen would cross the border without going through a port of entry raises questions, but in the company of illegals while hiding their citizenship raises the alarm. Was this American citizen a coyote, smuggling illegals while using his citizenship to get across the border more easily? He could have announced his citizenship at anytime but concealed it. This warrants an investigation.

Democrats could care less about anybody who crosses the border, whether they are Americans or Foreign Born. This is the problem with illegal immigration. Anyone can cross into the country for any reason, and we don’t even know what’s going on. That’s why we need to secure our border, and screen anyone who enters the country. Now his is some really stupid BS, now when anyone for anything is arrested they take finger prints and they send those prints and information about the person along with pictures, now if the did not use theses tools how would it be possible fro them to know that someone they just picked up had been in their custody before. What I do propose is that the person smarted off to the BP and was punished by them, because his proof was in his possession and they do take all your belongings when you are arrested, so they had his wallet with his paperwork in it.
