Democrats are threatening to cut the defense budget, putting America’s security at risk. The Free Beacon reports:
Nearly two dozen liberal groups on Thursday wrote to all 2020 Democratic presidential candidates, pushing them to support massive cuts to the defense budget.
The progressive groups urged the candidates to back cutting $200 billion or more from the Pentagon’s annual budget, which exceeded $700 billion for the current fiscal year, the Associated Press reported.

“Hundreds of billions of dollars annually should be shifted away from the Pentagon and to pressing needs from education to averting catastrophic climate change,” Robert Weissman, president of the watchdog nonprofit Public Citizen, told the AP. “America needs leaders who will speak plain truths about Pentagon excesses and waste.”
If Democrats are threatening America’s security, this will leave Trump as the only candidate for patriotic Americans.

You might want to ask yourself “what is the federal government doing in the welfare business”?? Whenever I see or hear the “do gooders” talk about REDUCING the armed forces budget for “social welfare reform (or help)” I shudder. It is the DUTY of the federal government to defend the United States of America and ‘her’ cirizens — social programs are the province of the States and should be sponsored and administered by them. “We the people” have become so dependent on the Federal government that it’s ridiculous. Just remember the ‘controlling’ words “The powers not delegated to the United States BY THE CONSTITUTION, nor prohibited by it to the States, are RESERVED TO THE STATES respectively, or to the people” Amendment X

This country already has enough weapons to destroy the world many times over. The purpose of government is defined in the Preamble of the Constitution and one of those purposes is to “promote the general welfare”. Trump should help the American people. He should stop raising costs for consumers and business by his tariffs and trade wars and he should stop cutting off export markets of American farmers and manufacturers. He should stop praising foreign dictators and murderers such as those in the Philippines No. Korea and Saudi Arabia and stop giving aid and comfort to bigots and racists..
Do you ever take a vacation or have hobbies that you like for R&R or just for fun? What would you do knowing that Russia is building up nuclear arms again Mr. Harvey, and no way to stop them. I don’t see the cost of goods going up from tariffs. Trump has cut a lot of unnecessary aid to foreign countries Mr. Harvey. What closet have you been hiding in Mr. Harvey? When the Military has money to give away, they must not need it so why not cut the budget, there hhas always been massive waste in the Military, so, let them pull their belt in. We at present and for the last almost 80 years have been the mighitest military in the World, it did not decline under Obama as some are trying to lead everyone to believe, any change in the Military as far as equipment and supplies takes years to procure, look how long we have been waiting for an airplane after the contract is signed and look at how long for a ship, longer than a Presidential term if they stay 2 terms. There are those that want to make other s believe that we are not a mighty Military until Trump took over, just show me the first piece of equipment that Trump has ordered and gotten, nothing changes very quickly in the Military or industry.
