US Navy Makes Big Moves in the Middle East
The US Navy has deployed a carrier strike group in the 5th Fleet area of operations, focused on deterring Iran from closing down the Hormuz Straits. Fox News reports:
The USS Abraham Lincoln is now on station in the northern Arabian Sea, two weeks early to deter Iran, multiple U.S. defense officials have told Fox News.
In addition to the dozens of F-18 Super Hornet jets aboard the aircraft carrier, the strike group’s other warships hold hundreds of Tomahawk cruise missiles ready to strike if any U.S. forces are attacked, according to officials.
Earlier this week, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said its forces in the region had been placed on “high alert,” but no evidence was presented to justify the elevated security posture.
But now, under pressure to explain the military build-up and change of posture, Pentagon officials say they are in the process of declassifying several satellite photos that they say shows cruise missiles aboard small Iranian vessels.
Although the United States and President Trump do not wish for a war in Iran which could weaken America’s posture, America will not surrender its interests either.

Iran is like a snake and most people do not like snakes. If a snake threatens to strike, you only have two choices, run like hell or, chop off it’s head! Obama was friendly with Iran and at this point I think most Americans know why. I often refer to the Obamas as a very effective and deadly “Sleeper Cell” and the more I learn about them, the more that I’m convinced that I’m right! Obama is the head of the snake that I referred to earlier….
I have spent over half my military career in the Middle East Training soldiers. After serving there as a contractor for DOD and DOS , I no longer feel the Middle East deserves anything more than being eradicated. They have done nothing to meet the radical Islamist head on and squelch the movement. They have spread uncontrolled throughout the region. Time we use our super weapons to eradicate these ungrateful nations. I am happy we have a President that is not a push over.
