Barr Goes to War With Senate Democrats
Senate Democrats ruthlessly questioned AG William Barr in front of Congress, trying to invent controversy in a report that is otherwise transparent to the American public. Fox News reports:
Attorney General William Barr fired back Wednesday at Democrats who for weeks have called his integrity into question over his handling of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia report, suggesting during a testy Capitol Hill hearing they were only using the issue to score political points ahead of the 2020 election — and advising that the DOJ’s role in the controversy is now “over.”
“We have to stop using the criminal justice process as a political weapon,” Barr said during a back-and-forth with Connecticut Democratic Sen. Dick Blumenthal.
The exchange was one of several heated moments during Barr’s first hearing — before the Senate Judiciary Committee — since the release of the Mueller report. The testimony covered everything from Barr’s decision not to pursue an obstruction case against President Trump to process delays in getting a redacted version of Mueller’s report to the public to Mueller’s apparent concerns about how Barr initially relayed his findings to Congress.
The dust-up with Blumenthal came after the senator told Barr “I think history will judge you harshly” and accused him of using his summary of Mueller’s probe to exonerate Trump of obstruction of justice. The senator called Barr the “fall guy for this report.”
Senate Democrats are showing just how impotent they truly are – without legislation or support from the American people. Instead of litigating the 2016 election, they should rather look to the next election.

Blumenthal worked the “Deferment Routine” that kept him out of Vietnam. But, while he was out of it, “Scot Free”, the former Attorney General from CT elevated himself to having been in the USMC, and saw action in it,in Vietnam. I don’t know how that guy can even show his face! Actually, he couldn’t wangle another deferment and finally had to join a reserve unit, which was the USMC Reserve in CT, but was never called upon for active duty. I think I would have spared the excellent USMC by leaving Blumenthal home too, rather than to allow him to hide behind fighting Marines! So much for his bravado and a blessing to all who did serve in Vietnam.

Barr should have expected what the democRATS would do when he gave them his version of muellers report, Mueller expected Barr to file an obstruction of justice against Trump he hinted enough at it, Mueller couldn’t come right out and declare that the president obstructed he didn’t have proof or he would have, Barr needs to investigate Mueller for his involvement in uranium one, Hillary for her abuse of secretary of state, clapper, brennen, comey Rosenstein, strazok and all the others involved with the false Russian investigation of the president, they need to face true justice and let the democRATS know their lying, cheating ways are a thing of the past, they will no longer be allowed to get away with it because they hold a government office, representatives and senate included, maybe Barr can cool the democRATS down if he launches these investigations and he can watch the rats run and squeal on each other

There is only ONE person who can restore our Constitution. That person is Attorney General William Barr. Nobody else can, not even President Trump. In order to do this, Barr will have to prosecute Deep State members.
I believe it was a mistake for the Democrats to scream at Barr and call him a liar. He sat and listened. But I saw him seethe with rage. Just because he said nothing did not mean that he “accepted” the Dems attack and hate.

I tend to agree with you. In making AG Barr an enemy that was their second mistake, the first one was making President Trump an enemy. They are going to get their a**’s kicked very soon.
